@The Lowcountry to see St Helene's the oldest church in Beaufort. That's where dad attends and volunteers 3 times a week. Do you know the strip mall where Big Lots is? Dad and I would eat at Jason's now carry out. Jason and his wife from Savannah own it. Low Country Cooking. Jason started cooking in the USAF. I love his scallops. They have a blackboard on the wall with specials. Last time dad and I went to Jason's was Autumn 2019. I have visited Daddy since 2010 in the Murrells Inlet area then he moved to Beaufort in 2018. Since 2017 I used to stay 2 weeks with him. Last time I saw him 2019 for 2weeks. I love low Country of SC

@The Lowcountry when they have their seafood platter. I always ask to substitute more scallops then white fish. I live in WV never get a chance to eat scallops(sea). Bay scallops are from New England. We used to vacation alot in New England when growing up in NY. BASICALLY the only time I have delicious Coastal seafood is down in South Carolina. I also love Georgetown on Front Street is Thomas Cafe, a breakfast, lunch local place. I always got the fresh shrimp baskets and fries, coleslaw. I would always have dad take me to Georgetown once a visit. It's the 3rd oldest SC town. Love also old architecture..have always loved history

@@TheLowcountry we opened Phase II. We have 15 spec homes remaining, then it's sadly finished. I think it is such a charming community!

We’re thinking about relocating. Why are so many communities gated? Do you know if Summerville or Beaufort is more desirable? We are still trying to research which areas would be right for us. Thank you for the videos!

Thanks for watching my video! Summerville is a nice town, it just doesn't have the waterviews and restaurants but a nice place to live. Actually, Beaufort does not have very many gated communities, two come to mind. We do have many waterfront communities that have very nice amenities (ie community pool, boat lauch, community dock, dry boat storage etc...). Most of the gated communites are in Bluffton and Hilton Head and many focus on golfing. If you come to Beaufort for a visit, I'd love to take you on a neighborhood tour! Just let me know!

Depends on how much money you have to spend. Summerville is more affordable. Living in Beaufort is over priced and a lot of old money. You won’t find a decent home under $300K.

How far from the ocean would love to go into the ocean to swim

The closest beach to swim is Hunting Island state park. It's a very nice beach in a park-liket setting and is approx. 20-25 minutes from downtown Beaufort.
