Look forward to the next instalment Andrew .Many happy memories of attending the Beaulieu Autojumble which was an annual ritual for a late friend who was a huge vintage car enthusiast and restorer in earlier years before the internet started to have an influence on the market. He restored many cars including a few veterans with fantastic provenance .

Thanks for the comment mate, Beaulieu is a special place for a lot of people, myself included. It’s not just about the cars or automobilia it’s about the people you see there and the friends you make!

I go to the auto jumble most years in September, I remember in the 70s, when most of those garage signs etc could be found in rubbish tips and scrap yards and you could get for nothing, shame no one wanted them then

Went there this morning Saturday, less stands there this year, lots of plots empty. A sign of the times, a pale shadow of the old Autojumbles.

It has long been a pale shadow of what could be called an autojumble. And the presence, today, of Bonhams, only emphases this. Last time I was there was 25+ years ago. I only went the once. As now, it was almost completely a collection of very expensive stuff, cars, and grossly overpriced bits and pieces.

Lots of overpriced junk as usual together with some gems and bargains.
