Beautiful and Grease Gun Are Not Words Usually Used Together

Wow, I have only ever used very old grease guns, so just holding this Lucas is a joy! I had no idea a grease gun could be pretty, but with its solid polished cast head and anodized aluminum body and padded grips, this pistol/lever grease gun is beautiful.
It fits perfectly in an extra tool bag I have, so it will simply live on our truck, where even the steering column has a zerk inside by my knee, so keeping that mechanism cleaned off is important to keeping my pants from getting wrecked. A nice, clean grease gun where I need it, whenever I need it, is perfect for us. I put off cleaning the lift gate mechanism, the suspension, etc., because I don’t want to go grab the grease gun and maintain things. Now there’s no more excuse, and since it’s always where I need it, I can do quick, small maintenance jobs when I have a few minutes to burn.
Easy loading, I’ve only ever used cartridges, so I cannot speak to bulk or pump loading, though I’m sure the option is great for Heavy D and other heavy machinery shops. Air-release for priming eliminates the need to prime with a loose pump-head and associated mess--just load the cartridge, put the pump head on, hit the pistol grip with the priming valve held open, and 2 strokes later it’s good to go.
Thread tape included--that’s a really nice touch. Finally, I just cracked the seal on the tip so the socket has necessary movement to get on the zerk, and if it gets stuck I can loosen it and get it off the zerk.
Nice gun, convenient single- or double-handed use, and really beautiful which encourages me to keep it nice and clean, this Lucas grease gun is a hit!
