On a tv show the host asked her if she was aware of how young she was and she replied: only when I look at my passport. No doubt she was born to sing and it doesn't matter what "genre" she sings including Pop, country, classic jazz, R&B, etc. She has been compared to so many great singers. Because of my age I was fascinated by the fact that a six year old girl would choose that song to get into a tv talent show! Through the years I have watched her learn more about her God given voice and now, after listening to her EP where she sounds like Lauryn Hill, pulls out some rap and hip-hop. I'm one of those who was offended by the music production and so I turned it off. Then I realized that I was acting like an old lady 😂 and took the time to listen, to hear what she had to say. She's growing up and I am right there with her.

This is a song by Brandon Lowry, aka BabyFuZz. Before he released it, his friends suggested giving it to Angelina for a demo. She sang this at 10, but it wasn't released as one of AJ's covers. It's speculated that her parents didn't want their 10 year old releasing a performance with suicide as a topic. So the demo tape would have been lost to posterity had it not been for someone with access to it, to leaked it to the world some 2 years later.

That was a great reaction - yes, you are truly articulate! You have to get beyond her age, she is simply a great singer, indeed a great artist, she sculptures sound! Beyond that, she expresse such deep emotion and draws us in so we share those feelings with her. I don't know of anyone else alive today that can do that.. For nearly 10 years, alt-pop songwriter Brandon Lowry penned and produced hits for the likes of Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX, Madonna, and Adam Lambert under his Sterling Fox and Baby Fuzz stage names. We can list the many aspects of her voice and the techniques she employs, but you mentioned what I think is the most important thing about AJ. She is able to feel the emotions of a song and transmit those emotions to the listener. There are so many songs that I liked, by great singers, but never really felt the message of the song....until Angelina sang it.

Many believe this is the most unique song she's ever recorded, when you realize how young she is here, and when her vocals enter your ears it has to make you think an adult is singing it. Never released by her and whether because she was just too young for her mom to want her doing it, or as some have said, there is a reference to a drowning suicide later in the song. We know her mom was a stickler concerning Amy Winehouse's dark lyrics and made her revise them numerous times, but nothing has ever been confirmed as to why this never reached professional fruition. It would have been a huge hit, for sure.

Quite possible, but you have to note how strict Sara was with regard to Angelina not being able to sing 'dark' lyrics of Amy Winehouse that didn't come close to flatly saying you'd be willing to hold your head under water, even if it results in a drowning death, like the lyrics in this song has. Sara had Angelina change the words from 'Back To Black' to 'Back In Love'. In Amy's 'You Know I'm No Good', became 'You Know I'm So Good', and in 'Rehab' the theme was changed from not wanting to go to rehab, to not wanting to go to school.

The people that had her make the demo said it wasn't released because she didn't have the right to release it, and Baby Fuzz supposedly wasn't aware she did a demo until after he released his "original" a month after this was leaked to the internet. Baby Fuzz also said he really liked Angelina's version and he didn't have any problem with the leaked version being out there.

If it reads "Leaked", that's because her family disapproved of the hint to suicide by the end of the song, and Angelina decided never to sing this song again. The original by Baby Fuzz is no match to this rendition.

The "rumor" that her family dissapproved of the hint of suicide has been proven wrong by the people that had her make the demo. They said it isn't a hint of suicide and they said it was never released because "she" didn't have the right to release it, and Baby Fuzz didn't know she did the demo until after he released his version. If a "hint of suicide" had been the case, why would her family have allowed her to sing "Gloomy Sunday" 3 years earlier?

@@musicluvr70great point. Angelina has always sung about very deep topics. Not puppies and rainbows (nothing wrong with those). She attended Waldorf schools as a child. Waldorf bases curriculum on the interests of the learner. That is how AJ grew up. She picked the songs she wanted to sing and anything her parents did not want was a negotiation like her well known rewriting of Back To Black.

When she was 10 years old Angelina Jordan was already getting interest from record labels. Baby Fuzz knew he had written a great song but could get no interest so he asked Angelina to sing the demo. It worked. The fan made video had photos of her at 12 as there was a lag before the leak...and then the video. Since the Baby Fuzz version is not as good....we think someone in the studio was proud of this and wanted it heard...hence the leak. Angelina has never sung this again. There was a lot of teenage suicides in the news and Angelina and her mother decided yhat the intimation of suicide was not something they wanted her to be associated with.

I'm still holding out for you a song written by Brandon Lowry, "also goes by Baby Fuzz," Ronny Janssen and Frida Amundsen went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this audio demo cut. Still, the rumor is Angelina's mother didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and the demo cut was not released. Later the demo was pirated from Angelina, and pictures were added and put online at the same time Baby Fuzz released the song, causing some confusion. Still, rumor has it that all parties agreed to leave Angelina's pirated cut on U-tube.
