A couple of observations - you crochet right handed, which surprised me; you and I change colors the same way, including the knot; I love this pattern, although I've never made it. Thanks for sharing! Blessings all!!!!

You're a good one, honey. I never could master the art of holding my hook like a pencil. I hold mine like a knife. After almost 30 years of stitching that way, there ain't no changing it. :)

I actually taught myself how to crochet by watching KZbin videos. I haven't watched this video, yet, but if it doesn't show it, then look for videos that show how to start, like how to do a foundation chain, and then move on to the different stitches, like single crochet, double crochet, etc. Start simple, and build from there once your skill level and confidence grows. And I'm far from an experienced crocheter, as there are still many things that I can't do. I just do simple stuff still, because I don't do it as often. But it is a fun hobby, and can be very relaxing to some. If you do learn, then enjoy! 😊

Hello there Southern Girl, What a great Video Tutorial! However, I know very little about crocheting (thank goodness for spellcheck) also. When I was just a little sprite, I had been taught how to do the chain and Single Stitch. That’s pretty much my limit. I have had a number of surgeries on my left arm and am limited to what I can do, but when I saw this Beautiful Pattern I just have to learn how to do it. It may take me a year to finish it but it’s simply to adorable to not try. Can you send me the link to your Beginners Tutorial so I can watch it in S l o w M o t i o n. I joke around and tell people I have a LAZY EYE so it takes me a LO N G T I M E T O R E A D, HAHA 😑! Anyway, i enjoy your videos very much, just curious if there is any kind of craft you can’t do? Where do you come up with so many ideas? You are amazing!!! Have a wonderful night, Jilli Bean
