@HookedbyRobin I can’t tell you how grateful I am to your channel. I was looking for a stich for a blanket for my adult Son. I was debating between the Lemon peel from your page or the half double Thermal stitch then I found this an just knew this will be the stitch, I have awful issues with straight lines for blankets so this will be my first blanket. My adult son has autism and he was over and picked up one of the cat blankets I made for a rescue and felt it and said “Ewwwww my autism loves this” after my Mom heart restarted I knew I had to do my best to make him a blanket with Bernat blanket super bulky 6 no matter how many times I will have to frog it 😁. Thank you for giving me hope to make this blanket for him. (Sorry this was so long but the story is where the love is lol)

Thank you thank you! I am a newbie crochet-er, and I started making a chenille blanket. I probably would have thrown my hook down in frustration if I hadn't found this video and switched from a straight up sc to this hdc into holes. My friends were awed when I stitched in a darkened theater (just need to feel the holes), and that lead me to go try my hand at a bunch of other crochet projects. I recently purchased some realllllllly bad quality chenille yarn and was muttering under my breath when I remembered your video, and now it's coming together into a blanket. Which is good because the yarn was so inexpensive that I bought 12 skeins (and this is why we don't buy yarn at the dollar store, duh). Now it's not going to go to waist and I can make a cute blanket for my newborn grandson.

You know ... Instead of weaving in those tails, you could just crohet over them the same as if they were the floats .... That way, they're less likely to work loose

You might want to put it into a mesh bag before putting in the machine. It will help it not to stretch out.

What happened to me is the alleged Mark Twain quote - I am such a rookie, that "I didn't know it was impossible, so I did it" : amigurumi with chenille yarn, but boy it took so many failed attempts! 😆 I only started making any progress when I let myself go by feel, like you suggest here. It kind of also works when working into the top of the stitches, but only if I don't let them get too tight. Thank you so much for letting me know it wasn't just me! And also for the color change part of the tutorial. I am growing to be a big fan of your channel, I have so much satisfaction from being able to - again, as a complete beginner - create intricate patterns (like fans and shells), by following your guidance! ❤ Enjoy your vacation! 🌴

Thank you so much for this tutorial Robin!!! I have a bunch of pretty velvet yarn that I wasn't sure what I was going to make with it. Since this is, by far, the most informative tutorial about this kind of yarn, I now know what I'm going to make 😀

Chenille!!! That's the name of this unbelievably SOFT but wormy squirmy yarn! I"m so excited to use this stitch on a blanket, that won't be super holey!!!

Love the stitch pattern and colors you used. I'm not sure I'll make this using chenille (too many horror stories). I'm going to experiment with a #5 chunky yarn for a vest. Outstanding video.
