Just going back over some of your 2023 videos. I'm lucky in that my son lives in Buxton & doesn't charge me £40 a night! Have spent many happy hours in Pavilion Gardens feeding the geese, riding the train with my granddaughter. There is always something going on in the pavilion too. Love the area - Bakewell & Matlock are very pretty.

Hi Rob, the water ingress is common apparently. it needs a bead of sikaflex underneath the back of the van where the garage starts. A guy on youtube has done a video showing this on a 599.# And it sorts the problem. Good luck.

Great vlog. Try New Mills Marina not far from Buxton. It’s a C L. Great facilities and the train station is a short walk away and you can go straight into Buxton. Also a bus from New Mills town. Half the price of that site. Next to the Peak Forest Canal right in the middle on the town. X

The price of campsites have all gone up in the main due to the EHU. Over the years I loved the luxury of a site shower block. Now on average at £40 a lovely long hot shower is not worth £20 extra . CLs have put their prices up to £15-£20 again to cover EHU. The sooner EHU is charged separate overnight camping will be back to a reasonable price. Many have travelled around mainland Europe and now are paying 10 Euro a night on Aires. Yours and many MHs have very good onboard facilities and the vans costing 50K or more then why pay £20 extra for a shower block. Yes if you have a swimming pool and other extra amenities one could consider what you are willing to pay. We now ow use CLs all the time . Used one two weeks ago just outside Stratford upon Avon. £8 no EHU.

Hi guys, 40 pounds a night is very steep.. in fact it’s ridiculous…. you’d love NZ, prices are from free to the most we’ve paid was $38 (19 pound) a night for the two of us.. we’ve been on the road full time now for 4 months and our camp fees are currently averaging $7 a night (about 3.50 pound).. some of the best sites we have been on have been free and we’ve been parked right next to the lakes

All of the campsites seem to have gone up - we were just talking about it and feels about 50% increase - bargains to be had though if you look around but think we’re paying £30 ish on average now with EHU. Nice area though and at least you know what you were getting for your £40 at C&MC. Hopefully they will lower the costs when the ‘leccy comes down in price, maybe wishful thinking though 🤔 Hope Lynn feels better soon - it’s awful when it keeps coming back. I was camped on the carpark last Sunday night 6pm till 8am is free no one bothers you In the day I stayed on the road all day right outside the carpark Also get use of the toilets under the carpark at the end of the pavilion And had breakfast nap sausage and bacon with nutty and a latte only £7.30 I saw the guys packing the roundabout and the round disk cars. Rob I was trying to park at the Lorry park opposite weatherspoons. But struggling to understand how to pay The guy that locks the toilets at 5pm came to me do you need help he said After a discussion about the Lorry park metre which was in the carpark not the Lorry park He said follow me. So I followed him and he told me to park up till 6 pm outside Pavillion gardens and if I wanted to I could park in the pavilion gardens carpark free all night as long as I pull out early in the morning so 7.30am I was set up on the road and showered in the van and off we went around buxton. As you say not much to see if you seen the opera house at pavilion gardens You got the best bit. I left about 12 on monday and went to see a village called MINSTER it’s got one pub and a post office that does hot pies The cottages are unbelievable Park your motorhome outside the village by the row of council property’s there’s a double rd do tenants won’t complaine it’s free give your self 3hours head off up the hill rd opposite the post office It’s an unbelievable village It has to be seen It is between buxton and Bakewell

Hi Rob & Lynn enjoyed watching your second vlog of Buxton, bloody rip off prices now ,but if you want to get away from home or a short holiday that would cost you a lot more when you think about it! So all is fair when you think about all the maintenance that has to go on through the year on all of these private parks & it's not cheap when you concider your electricity has gone up in general everywhere, so they have no choice to put up there prices to cover all there costs as well , work out your electricity bill to stay @ home then see how much extra on top your actually paying to park the😊😊re & use any of there facilities as well? It does all add up with the cost of tax & vat going up as well, so really I couldn't afford even to take a holiday away from home its getting ridiculous now especially here in the UK, when other countries don't sting you for bloody everything, but Hay ho that's what the world is coming to & we have no choice but to get on with it ! Take care & enjoy life while you can I say ! & Lynn you need something for your chest infection hunny you sound awful & hope your feeling much better after you get Rob to rub your chest with plenty of vick hunny , all my love Linda in Newport Shropshire xxx😊❤

I think Buxton is a bit like Shap (Cumbria) it has its own weather….. we went couple of years ago & weather wasn’t brilliant, then onto Blackshaw moor not far down road & the weather was glorious 😊 I think the clubs are def gonna lose out to the rallies.

Hi Lynn I know people are telling you to get Vitamin D3 which is brilliant for your immune system my husband had covid bad and always used to have colds etc before that. Since he’s had covid he hasn’t had one single cold as I told him to take vit d3 which I have always taken and didn’t have any symptoms when I tested positive for covid and I never get colds. The other really good thing to take as a supplement is a probiotic everyday I can promise you that you will feel so much better when you take these all the time and you will find your immune system will be so much better.
