I recently heard this sound and reverence at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. It was divine in all ways. We are missing this prayerful message of organ and choral music in many churches and other places of worship today. I left with a refreshed smile of gratitude.

@Ethan Stir // I respect only Truth// are you religious?
@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h5 жыл бұрын
@Ethan Stir I thought acceptance is one of the few good qualities of Christianity, but you certainly have some serious bias and hatred towards Islam. I'm an atheist though, yet i know how to learn and appreciate the good things any religion has to offer, the music and paintings to name a few. Would you like to debate me on god so that i can burst that bubble of ego of yours?
@a.b.h.i.j.i.t.h5 жыл бұрын
@Ethan Stir LOL! I just offered you to have an intellectual discourse with me and all you could come up with is a whole bunch of strawman accuses and name calling? how pathetic! Nobody is even asking you to accept Islam, or any other religion. Nobody is advocating for any sort of co-exist version of religion, in fact, i think the very notion of co-existence of different dogmas is absolute foolishness, especially in the case of religion. the one thing i hate the most in the world is religion though im willing to appreciate it's beauty if it has any. that doesn't mean i support it as a whole, nor does it mean i believe in the "oneness" and "love" between religions. it's just simply impossible! see for yourself how biased you are. you don't even know me, calling me hypocrite, libtard and new age is not going to help lol. OF COURSE i can decide myself what is good and bad for me, sorry that you still require a sky daddy to do it for you. once i agree with the common goal of the society we can all determine what is good and bad for all of us; welcome to the 21st century. you probably haven't heard of this but there is such thing as secular humanism which is far more superior to any religious moral standards. you are stuck somewhere in the past blindly following ancient dogmas without any sort of reality check, evolve! i wonder why when each time theists are challenged with debate they all give the same lame excuses you just gave and hide under the veil of ignorance. maybe they are too comfy living like that, maybe i shouldn't have expecting any better from those primitive brains.

Very relaxing music. I love being in churches or cathedrals when such are performed. Once wanted to hear some but went too early and saw the people from the chorus praying quietly (at least i believe it was praying) and in the silence of the church it was straight out of a horror movie, where a demon is being summoned, or the possessed village people come to murder all outsiders. It was a very strong experience, i loved it so much :) my GF not so much, she got scared and wanted to leave. Was such a shame as I did want to hear them sing.

“Hosanna in excelsis” comes from the Gospel of Matthew 21:9, when Jesus entered Jerusalem 5 days before his crucifixion ...”the crowds that went before Him and that followed Him were shouting ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” Meaning of hosanna (Aramaic) is from the Hebrew term for “rescue” or “salvation,” the people were hoping for a political salvation ( from the Roman oppressors) but Jesus was coming for a deeper, and higher, salvation, -a spiritual salvation from the oppression of our sin.
