As much as we all ask for this, we must remember that it is an isolated request. We should ask, if God did grant this request, what need would we have for Jesus and or God? Without sin, is there either entity? And would they be necessary? Given that nothing in nature leaves an unbalanced equation, how could God be that equation? God would require an antagonist.

Your devotion belongs to Christ and Christ alone. The Eucharist is the body and blood, but the Eucharist is not God. It is a wafer. It is wine. Neither of these things are worthy of worship, devotion, or adoration even if they are transubstantiated. Devotion to anything other than God...is idolatry. Mary, saints, the sacred heart...none of these things are God and thus unworthy of adoration or devotion. In Christ alone we place our trust. This is the role of the church. The souls in Purgatory are also not your purview. Let God attend to His own. They have no need of your prayer with the Almighty looking over them. What will your prayer do that God cannot? Pray for those who need it. Saying a Mass for the dead is about as useful as feeding them. Don't get caught up worshipping creation instead of its Creator. We are monotheists. Act like it. I do not mean to be mean, but any belief that cannot withstand criticism isn't worth holding in the first place.

There are also many Gregorian chants for our blessed Mother Mary. But of course as a Protestant, you reject that idea as well as many other Catholic ideologies and beliefs because you are blind - “o ye of little faith.” We bring our prayers to Mary so she can present them on our behalf because God favored Mary and he chose her above any other woman. We don’t put the her above the Holy Trinity. Asking her to advocate for us isn’t worshipping her and putting her above or at the same level as the Holy Trinity. We ask her to help us because God found favor in her. She has helped so many grow closer to the Holy Trinity - tell me how is that an evil thing? If you don’t understand, you should pray for understanding and bigger faith. I will keep you in my Catholic prayers. Best yet, I wtill pray a Rosary on your behalf.
