I just finished reading Suzanne Simard's beautiful book, "Finding The Mother Tree: Discovering the wisdom of the forest." She describes the way that mycelium connect the roots of trees and other plants, and how that cooperation between fungi and plants is the very basis of our ecosystems. And how mycelium are a carbon sink...they can store excess carbon for thousands of years. I had already long been fascinated by mycelia, but now I am downright in love. Being a song leader, after reading the book I naturally searched youtube to see if I could find songs about Mycelium. And voila, this gorgeous and powerful song appeared! Thank you so much, Beautiful Chorus, for writing it, and for singing and recording it so gorgeously. I will be sharing the link to your music with everyone I sing with.
