Beautiful Custom Aquarium Stand

For support arms are these 2×6 ? And 2×6 also used on the top hold the tank. I literally just brought a tank just like yours. Dual oberflow 1" and 3/4" drilled holes. And about to build a stand. Great build!! Any detail is appreciated!

For sure, the base of the stand is all 2x4's the supports are actually a paintable high quality building wood, not really sure what its called, the supports are not 2x6's though, although If you are planning on using those for supports I would recommend doing so since they are stronger than the type I used.

Looks fantastic. I'd move the electrical power strips higher, you don't want water running down a cord and in to the electrical socket.

You have this 125 on the fist floor? I noticed the stairwell behind it. Did you create more support underneath?

Thanks! We made sure it would hold up by applying i think 4 coats of water resistant paint. Haven't had a problem yet.

What is your clearance from top of tank to top of hood? Where did you get your doors? Did you build a frame and overlay the MDO over? Would love to see plans/build... I will be building one for 150 gal Nicest tank stand I’ve ever seen!!!

Thanks, my dad made it! I think clearance above the tank is like 10 inches or so. My dad special ordered the doors somewhere online. The bottom brace is 2x4's but everything else is MDF.

Not totally sure to be honest. Bring it to the hardware store and test some bolts in it.
