How I use beautiful feet around the world geography along with bookshark sonlight world history to make what I feel is a complete curriculum study! For my elementary (kindergarten & 2nd) aged kids

This is great! Thank you! Would you recommend doing ATW with a k4 and kindergartener or waiting another year until they’re in kindy and 1st? I can’t decide!

I like to look forward and see “ok if we started atw this year, what will they be set up for a few years from now”, but as far as readiness, I think k4 and kinder would be very fun!! And then part 2 will still keep your 1st graders interest 😍

Sonlight has a free Japan unit and Korea one too. We are doing ATW too but I was trying to think of ways to beef up history as well since he is older.

Oh that is so good to know!! Thank you, definitely adding that in 😍 This has worked well for us without feeling like it’s “too much” for me. I do still feel like he could be challenged more, but I also don’t think challenge is always a necessity if that makes sense? Let me know if you end up combining too and how it goes for you!!

@@PiningOverHome Almost all our other courses are literature based too so it's probably not necessary. I try to find fun YT videos for the country too. I think I may add in a report, diorama, or poster board project for a few of the countries as well if there is time.

Just curious…if you could only choose between the two curriculums which one do you seem to like better for history?

ATW is “technically” geography which I realized I never mentioned in the video lol but I prefer that! It’s really easy to add in historical facts or pick library books with it. Bookshark without their additional hands on kit would be much too boring for us 😂 I’m all about interactive curriculum!
