I think the yellow flower at about 15:30 is a yellow archangel. I use an app called PictureThis to identify plants. Great video wish I could be there now. Been watching your videos for about a year now and I really enjoy them. Keep up the good work.

@23:00 the snake comes back out of the water onto the log. The second snake looks much larger snake than the first one. I like how you point out and name the plant life and insects, I wish I had taken a greater interest when I were younger. Nice hike. Good video. 👍🏻

Totally agree it is such an underrated place. At the tunnel the trail leads up to the enola trail and you can do a nice little loop.

Thanks for the shout-out! And thank you for solving one of my big mysteries so far this spring by ID-ing the Mayapples. Tried Google image searches and couldn't zero in on it for some reason. I feel like going back to see that snake, seems like he owned that crossing. That's where I crossed to get to the tunnel as well. Good stuff as always!

when you went underwater, the small fish are called stripers, we use to net them in the streams we fished in millheim/centre county for bait. I enjoyed this video very much. your narration re fauna is interesting. we also have the lamium in our yard with pink flowers on them. i think its also called false nettle.

I just watched the second shot of that beautiful water snake. It looks like a Banded Water Snake. You can also see the vertical lines on his upper and lower jaw. That is one of the ways to tell the difference between a Cottonmouth/Water Moccasin and a water snake. Here in Florida so many water snakes get killed because people swear it is a Cottonmouth. The Cottonmouth has a wide brown stripe that starts in his eye and runs back. They also do not have those vertical lines on their upper and lower jaw the way a water snake does. What a beautiful shot of that snake.

Great sounds on this one. Birds, running stream👍 wow, underwater shots are awesome! That’s an especially lovely place. How long did it take you to reach the stream? I’m quite crippled with arthritis but would love to get myself out to places like this. I went following Tubmill creek in westmoreland co. About the Luna- he may be just wearing out- their active time is so brief. Good sign for a pristine environment.

When you talked about the snake, you said, "He's gone now." No, he's not! He is in the that frame! He crawled out of the water up on the log. Really, cool, Cliff. I have been learning Florida snakes because where I live we have four venomous snakes (Coral, Cottonmouth, Diamondback Rattlesnake, Pygmy Rattlesnake). I use Florida Snake ID site on facebook. Is that a Banded Water Snake? We often see Banded Water Snakes in NE Florida. You can learn so much from a facebook Snake ID group. If they have one on facebook in PA, I would recommend you join. When someone posts a picture of snake; I try to ID it before I look in comments or the title for the answer. If I get it wrong, I start asking questions of how to ID that specific snake. It is so cool. You learn snakes really fast with these Snake ID Groups.
