Cliff, I grew up on this street long before it was the preserve. Visited the chimney you’ve found! It’s nice to see you’ve hit my old childhood stomping grounds!

Pawpaws are edible from yellow into purple, even the almost black ones are fine. Like a banana, dark ones look bad but are sweetest.

Plantains are like that. Green is hard and not sweet, yellow is firm and slightly sweet, black is still firm but the sweetest. Unfortunately, most grocers toss the black ones. I've told the stores' produce managers if they are going to bin the black plantains to give me a call. I'll take 'em! 😊

Gathering Paw Paws with my mom and dad is a cherished childhood memory. The wife and I still gather them occasionally when they are in season. Love the big trees!

Seeing those black walnuts brought back a childhood memory. A boy in my 5th grade class showed up with his hands stained to the max. We had library day, and the Librarian told him he could not touch any if the books.

Thanks Cliff, lived in PA my whole life (79 in Nov.) never heard of Pawpaw's B 4. Looks like I gotta get out more LOL. Glad you found that missive white oak, what history it's lived through, boggles my mind.

Wow what a beaut place that is. Gosh those trees are so stunning, you just gotta love trees. Lovely place just to picnic and just look at everything. You have more hair on top than a lot of men, don’t worry you still look cute without your hat. Your paw paw is not as big as our mangos in Australia. Our paw paw are the size of a honey dew melon. Really big and of course like yours very yummy. Thanks so much for taking me along, stay safe and take care

I really enjoy the plant, berry and mushroom views and identification. The gian puffy mushroom and the chicken mushrooms were ones I'd never seen before (I'm out West). I think those were in the Trexler video. Anyhow, I have never had a pawpaw, but maybe someday I will have the opportunity. Thanks for what you do.

Shiprock Woods⚓ is a Beautiful place, especially with the serenading crickets, and gorgeous cornfields. The oval bridge is awesome. Fun watching you eat the super spicy berry, and popping the seed pod. NO WAY ! U R not going to bite into that ant infested🦟 Paw Paw fruit. Those Paw Paw fruits sounds so delicious. Having a patch of them on your farm was so lucky ! The old chimney stack is so enchanting. Love the way you hide things, so creative, so cool ! Oh WOW! The elusive White Oak Tree, so very enchantingly beautiful ! Shiprock ⚓is a very beautiful place. Thank You ! Master Trailblazer. Love your walks, they make me feel all warm and cozy, relaxed. 💛💛

If you had a food dehydrator you could take the half mushy ones home and cut the bad spots out and dehydrate the good parts for a dried fruit snack. Your hair looks nice. You have the same cut that my hubby has. He cuts his in the bathroom and I do his neck for him in the yard.

The rock that Ship Rock Preserve is named after is a big rock in the creek across the road from the parking area somewhere. It looks roughly like a ship.

Hi Cliff, I loved that pretty little bridge, it kind of looked like it was based off of the ornamental Japanese bridges that you can see in their ornamental gardens and temple gardens. A lovely hike, which was made better by the Pawpaw tree's along the way, the White Oak tree was magnificent, it's nice to see one that is being protected from logging. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💞

Very nice hike Cliff, really enjoyed this one. Beautiful little bridge and the pawpaws were interesting too. Never had one. They sound delicious. I suppose they must be difficult to cultivate or they don't store well, as I have never heard of them being sold in stores. And yeah, we guys do like to keep our barbers. The haircut looks good, your friend should keep doing it.

Awesome video! In the past I have used walnut hulls that were black and mushy like that to stain wood arrow shafts and some other wood projects as well, just wipe it on then wipe it off, works great! Those paw paws, I have heard of them but never seen them, they look tasty, I'm glad you mentioned what they taste like because I was thinking pear. That white oak is HUGE! Little bit of everything on that hike. Oh, I have a hooded sweatshirt just like that one 👍

Just moved to the Poconos from Philly. I'm probably in a minority but was never a Wawa guy, except for their coffee. First time to a Sheetz, a new one just opened up near me. I like the atmosphere there, very different from Wawa. Right now mainly going there for the cheaper gas prices.

I live in Michigan and we have paw-paws. They kind of taste like a cross between mango and banana. Apparently people really like paw-paw bread but that I have not tried. It is a tasty fruit and it is harvested about the same time as apple season. The reason we dont really see them in stores is because they do not travel well and will just rot quickly.

I think they taste like a cantaloupe, and they have a very short window of being ripe in the wild, plus competition from animals.

That must be a guy thing . . . we'll go to the same barber or barbershop from kindergarten to age 99.9. In my case, I went to the same barbershop my father took me to from my earliest cogent memory, there were always 3 or 4 barbers, one would retire or die and another one would replace him, I don't think ANY of those guys were EVER anything less than 60 years old tho . . . funny how that goes. I always found it awkward 'cause ya kinda had to make small talk with those guys, and you're stuck in the chair, and it was always either sports or politics, ah, once I started really going bald I finally just started shaving my own head and never looked back. What memories!

Hey Cliff you know better than I because you know all of those fruits in the wild, but I just looked on google cause I was curious and it says that the skin and the seeds of the paw paw fruit can be very toxic to humans. It can induce vomiting and cause disruption in your digestive system. So when I saw you eating the skin I was curious and looked it up. But like I said you know better than I cause you've been eating them for years Just be careful dear. Love you videos!
