Hi Ivor and Susan, I just come across your channel and am finding it very interesting, i was born and raised in Sorrento, so it is great to see this vlog you have done. A fun fact for you Sorrento used to be part of the greater Marmion suburb, and Sorrento Beach used to have a whaling station on it back in the1850s, it was owned by an Irishman by the name of Patrick Marmion hence the suburb name, there are to plaques one on the statue at the southside of the Lifesaving Club carpark and the other is just inland at Geneff park on a large limestone rock. Anyway just a usless fun fact for you that not to many people know about
