Sis Vilile happy you are in My home province 😍😍💯.. Phokeng mines are owned by the Phokeng Nation the King of Phokeng did justice to his people i applaud him..🔥 Most people are subdividing , the water boreholes came in as municipalities have issue with water supply i think it was Magalies water if i am correct so since 2012 villagers around decided to bore water.. Our livestocks are in Merakeng (farms) and we farm mostly in masimong (crop farms) each family will have their own masimo or meraka..

A good question on what are the benefits of rural infrastructure development. I guess we may safely say that because Rural areas in South Africa are protected through customary law, we are unlikely to have them turning into what our townships in cities look like. I think 🤔 the reason you don't see 👀 livestock is because of its close proximity to Rustenburg just 16 kilometres away with PLATINUM 🥈 MINES AND THE FAMOUS ROYAL BAFOKENG SPORTS PALACE even and Rustenburg has always been known for having THE MOST PLATINUM 🥈 MINES WORLDWIDE 🌍🌎🌏. Miskien if you went further away to villages further roughly double distance away they would be a definite mixture of Township, Village like Inanda is to Durban.Inanda is 28 kilometres away from DURBAN 🌁.I think 🤔 Die Noord Wes Provinsie has got genoeg plaase because it's BIGGER THAN KZN,GP but has no City like DBN,PMB,JHB,PTA.So Rustenburg being so fully urbanized will put it on the map and Klerksdorp 🏆🥇 is fast developing also because of having the most Gold mines in Die Noord Wes Provinsie.RUSTENBURG WILL BE A MAJOR CITY 🌁 and Klerksdorp 🏆🥇 will be a City.There are even plans to build a UNIVERSITEIT 🏫🖊️ buitekant die Rustenburg dorpie accomodating 10 000 students.There are plans to build RUSTENBURG 🌁 INTERNATIONAL 🌍🌎🌏 CONVENTION CENTRE in the CBD to avoid travelling to ⛅ Sun City for HUGE SPECIAL EVENTS.IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SLEEPING GIANT.I BELIEVE PHOKENG WILL BE AN UPMARKET SUBURB LIKE SANDTON, LA LUCIA,CAMPS BAY.

This isn't a rural area, it's more like a developing township, yes the plots are big but in most cases they aren't used in a typical rural style of farming and ploughing crops. Most of them are used for building huge houses. This comment in informative, please don't attack me
@VelileLifestyleDecorTV3 жыл бұрын
😄😄 no one is here to attack but we here are here to inform and educate. This is a rural area in a South Africa and phokeng is a village governed by tribal law. I see where you coming from with your views but it’s a fact under SA customary law, it is a village that has improved drastically. Let’s give props to the people of Royal Bafokeng community. Also remember that SA villages develop differently due to where they are located and what is available at their disposal to enable drastic development. Phokeng is rich in Platinum mining and most mines are owned by the people of this village. That alone translates into the type of development we see. Watch my previous video before this one and se how much developed Umgababa in Durban due to the areas attraction to tourism since it’s located in the tropical part of SA. Thank you for watching. Peace and love. 🙏🏾❤️

We do need malls, we can't travel to the big towns for everything. We just need mall's that give us access to groceries, clothes and banking. Imagine having to travel 100km just to bank, or buy the kids kfc. It doesn't mean we have to conform to the notion that because we are rural we must be tourism hubs as well. Rustenburg has its tourism centers and villages which cater to those. Most people work and therefore we do not need to keep livestock, there are farms outside the village and areas where we keep livestock etc

Sis Velile villages historical were known to be self-reliant, so I don’t understand why electricity-grid dependency (like in the city)should be applauded as development. Maybe we should encourage off-grid development through solar-power just like how people have boreholes for water.The other emphasis should be on encouraging of trees planting & where the are already natural trees let us avoid deforestations. That would talk to address issues of climate-change (which is not yet Third World priority)but caused by modernisation masquerading as development.

@Jonh Mojapelo, Villages are not defined by their proximity to Towns/Cities. Phokeng is a village on the outskirts of a City just like Nobody village which is 18km out of Polokwane, Blood River, GA Maja, Moletji etc. You just want your definition of a village to fit your narrative that Limpopo is the only developed rural province, which is not true. You will find a similar setup even in Mahikeng where villages such as Montshiwa, Ramosadi, Makhubung etc are situated on the outskirts of the City.

@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV because there's no rural area around Rustenburg, only outside You should got to places outside Rusten like Tlhatlhaganyane, Tlokweng,I can name them, those are rural areas, we have everything within us to be rural. People from outside who get to Phokeng actually think it's a location because of how developed it is,like I said we have more than 30 villages under the Royal Bafokeng Nation and Phokeng is the headquarters where there are employees and a civic center, some of these villages I can agree with you that they are rural areas, if you had gone past phokeng just after the mall you'd see another village called Luka, way more developed too because there more mines there you wouldn't think it's a rural are,we even have our own Bafokeng Police force called "Reaction Force" Oh and the reason why you saw no farming there is not because it's not allowed but it has become a norm that if one wants to have livestock or do farming you can be offered a land around the Bafokeng nation but outside the residential area, small gardens are there in people's yards but not so much for serious farming that can feed the village,

Phokeng is a rural area but from what I know they have been rich even during apartheid that is why their so advanced.
