A Bugyal is a high altitude alpine grass lands, or meadows, in Uttarakhand, India. At elevations ranging between 3300 metres and 4000 metres, these alpine meadows remain snow covered in winter. In the summer, the meadows burst into a multitude of beautiful flowers and grass. The basins of Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Bandarpunch have extensive bugyals. Bugyals have very fragile ecosystems.
The Bugyals and the sky around with their every changing hue can show you new scenery at every season of the year. The trek starts from the tiny village of Barsu tucked away on the Haridwar -- Gangotri road 32 kms away the town of UttarKashi.

Thanks for sharing the video. We book most of our stays watching your videos. Badrinathji, Snowcrest was fab 🙏✨. I really appreciate your hard work :) For Harsil, after watching this, we contacted the owners of this homestay & we found the quoted price was exorbitant for the facilities esp for the month of July with less crowd as compared to May June. seems the place has found some publicity with KZbin hence they denied any negotiations also. Nonetheless, we found a much better property at a decent price only a few mins drive from this place.
