I spend my childhood studying in Mumbai. I was the only North East student studying there when I took admission. When I told them I am from Meghalaya or Shillong they didn't know where the place was, they thought it was a foreign country, they used to ask what type of money do I use there, what type of language. But it is not them to be blame it's the education system on that side to be blame. There is no syllabus that teach about North East. So how will the students know about it. But Yeah 95% people that I met there are all good n friendly n most of them think me as their Brothers.

When i went to Mumbai once. I was asked about my place where I am from. As i responded i am from Assam, they asked me about the cost of Visa. It was one year ago. I'm proud to tell all of them are really caring, loving and supportive,also speaks English very fluently... Though I belong to the North East State of India. I would proudly say that I don’t want to be a part of Indian. Even an educated people doesn’t know which part of 🇮🇳 India belongs to the NE States. They know about Nepalese, Chinese, Japanese, Bhutanese or Burmese etc But they don’t know Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal, Sikkim, Mizoram & Tripura. Though I have an Indian passport and show them at the Indian Passport & VISA controllers. I feel shy to look at their real face wether they had well educated or well trained or not! My only request to mainland indians 1-Stop staring mind ur own bussines let us walk freely, comfortably. 2-Dont harrsed by passing comments like nepali,chow chow,momo,chinese. 3-Instead of assuming/Jugding ask politly this is more human... but one thing for sure i noticed after coming to delhi all are not same but yes i still face lots of harrasments on daily basis especially when u pass around yo yo boys honey singh types probably school going or drop out boys..but after asuming for many times i feel nothing wrong with that because there are people in delhi who are very well groomed and very intelectual to talk with they makes me feel very comfortable.moreover,those boys who pass comments around they might have not probably gone out of their place ever so its thier unhinged mentality which can be cured later...so thanks to those who are very mordenised and very well educated..😊

@@davidpegu1212 I never feel such a less indian tho by mentiontioning delhities,mainlenders etc.its only just to catogorize the particular ethnicity of the place.for instance we usually called south indians to those particularly residing in the coastal areas of south india and to those living in northeast we usually called northeast indians.similary i called main land indians to categorize for that particualr place not to generalize..so i see nothing wrong with that..see one thing for sure people call us nepali i never mind that too because nepali brothers and sister are also the part of sikkim india but when i get pissed when even after telling them no im frm for say manipur,nagalnd ,mizoram ad arunachal they see with suspectful eyes whether we are foreingers as u know most of the indians barely know our own states..And the fact is i never wanted to be called indians when my foreingn friends ask me whether im frm any differnt country i really feel bad to call my self indians only beacause of some rapist and cow vigilantism our indians image get very low impression....i dont know wHere they upto??so if supppsed i were to asked for the referundum to whether to stay with india or want separate nation then definitly i would vote for separte nation but yes i wont allow to go with china....
