Bro I was stuck in Lachung during the flash flood, we rented out bikes from Gangtok, rode to Lachen, Gurudongmar lake then Lachung all while it was raining heavily and we had no idea what we were in for. Just a few hours after we reached Lachung, the road collapsed and we were stuck there for 10 days with no electricity, no network and minimal food and had to be rescued via helicopter. We also went to Zero Point and Yumthang Valley and the rough patches you experienced on the road were completely flooded and it was scary as hell to ride on that road as it was still raining and there were big rocks on the road which we couldn't even see. I was terrified and couldn't enjoy the ride too much due to the rain but would love to visit there again during a better weather hopefully😅The Katao ride was beautiful though. I have studied in Sikkim (SMIT) for 4 years and love the people and the culture there so it really broke my heart to see what happened there. Great video btw!

Yes minor scratches can corrected with polish and protected with wax i have a video on it explaining what products i use and how i do it that may help

Yes there is. The road further connects to Gurudongmar Lake which then return to Chungthang via Lachen. (but the road is closed for general public)
