As a Norwegian, I like these videos very well. Particularly the quiet and easy to understand comments, as well as a laid back style of filming that is excellently edited. I've been to many of those places some decades ago, and now I'm very inspired to revisit all of them and others. As we grow older, we see beauty and other values with a different perspective and a much more open mind. THANK YOU SO MUCH, this really makes me proud to be a Norwegian :-)

Norway is indeed replete with phenomenal natural beauty, and most importantly still in it's untainted and pristine form. Thanks to the denizens who have not plundered nature's bounties under the guise of modernization. Nice film, I have lived in Volda for 4 years, but is originally from another Town called Florø, but was also born in Volda when my parents took their education on as teachers. I have now lived over 3 years on Mindanao Philippines where I will marry in about two months. Nice to look at your film. I have not been in Norway since Marsh 2016 so you was there after me. I miss the summers with the bright nights, fishing, and walking up in the mountain. sleep on our family's cabin's, we have 3 of them, all without electricity and with grass-roofs, and one of those cabin is just some meters from a lake where we set out a net in the evening, and eat traut to breakfast, that is good with some fried traut before we're walking around in the end of september for take down our sheep's before the winter. Ps. My mother live by the Sognefjord, Hermansverk close to Sogndal, so before in Norway I always did go to the Nigardsbreen in the Jostedalen national park, that is one om my favorite places in the whole Norway, also the stave churches, I even have got one tattoo in my life, the wooden carving from the Urnes stave church, a Filipino made it, and he is so proud over that tattoo, that he ever got the chance to make a Urnes style tattoo on a real descendants of the Vikings. And off course I am really proud of it myself as well. After I have lived in the Philippines for 5 year, then I will also make a Filipino style tattoo, but it must have a really good Filipino symbolic, something around my future wives tribe!

Learn a lot from you before my trip to Norway, thanks
@fritzstehr6 жыл бұрын
You may have overlooked a couple of factors mluoh LOL: "Learn a lot from you before my trip to Norway..." For example the commentary on the Noble Peace Prize at 1:28:33: "...wanting a better legacy he left most of his fortune to fund a peace prize..." After the 2nd world war the Nuremberg Principles were proclaimed with respect to what constituted a war criminal and by those standards in 1973 POTUS NIxon's Secretary of State Henry Kissinger the murderous architect of Vietnam and the overthrow of Chile's democratically elected leader Allende in favor of the murderous thug Pinochet was voted the Nobel Peace Prize. By the virtue of the Nuremberg Principles and the later Geneva Convention Herr Docktor Kissinger was a wall to wall psychopathic murdering POS. Kill two people you will be accused of murder. Kill fouteen or more and you will be accused of being a serial killer. Kill a 100,000.00 or more and you will be invited to a peace conference. Moreover "constitutional expert" Illinois Senator Barack Obama after promising, during the 2008 election, "change" while secretly funded by Wall St., in 2009 after being sworn in as POTUS, received the Nobel Peace Prize then proceeded to excel at being an even greater more magnificent war criminal than his predecessor the bozo George W Bush. Every president since Harry S. Truman has been a war criminal, even the assassinated JFK. Just because Noble was a Swede and not Norwegian, does in no way excuse this sordid enthusiasm about misplaced "awards" to murderous scumf*cks. Any questions as to my sources?

Paul, thank you for your videos. I found your channel several day ago and have been watching Norway videos ever since. Your photography is incredible and your commentary above the best, you could very well make documentaries. A couple of weeks ago I was asked where I would like to travel next, my choice is Austria and Denmark, and I wasn't sure where to go for a third country. My mind is definitely made up after seeing Norway through your videos. My god, what a beautiful country, I have many jaw dropping moments, the scenery is positively breathtaking. And such a clean country too, not only the country itself (the roads etc), but the air looks so clear. This may be because of your photography, the camera you use or the air or a combination of all 3. It's a long trip from here in Australia, but well worth it.

That water! Just last year, I discovered Voss water. (I live in upstate NY). Until then, no water I had tasted matched the flavor of my favorite glacial lake up in Maine. But as soon as I took the top off my first bottle of Voss water, I could smell the rock...and I can sure taste that beautiful rocky flavor. I have been told that pooh, pooh, it's only normal Norwegian tap water - nothing special. But, to me, it is completely special! Who else has tap water like that, eh?! Gorgeous video and commentary - thank you! I especially liked learning the purpose of the grass roofs.

Your videos are simply fantastic, I have just discovered your "channel" and I've found it very useful and full of information about where to go and what to do. I'm preparing my family trip in Norway (11 days in the western and central fjiords) and I think I will follow your suggestions to get everyday "another great day in Norway".

Thanks, is your family from Germany? One of my old colleagues and a very good friend and mentor 40+ years ago was Named Goodman (Eric Gutmann) who fled Hitler.

THANK YOU FOR A BIRD'S EYE VIEW. IT SURE BEATS SLAG DUMPS AT THE END OF THE STREET LIKE WHERE I GREW UP IN SUDBURY, ONTARIO; NO FLOWERS OR TREES. IT LOOKS LIKE MARS WHEN DRIVING IN FROM COPPER CLIFF HIGHWAY 17.
