Kigamboni District, officially known as The Kigamboni Municipal Council (Halimashauri ya Manispaa ya Kigamboni, in Swahili) is one of five districts of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. In addition the district is one of two districts in Dar es Salaam that has a National Historic Site, with Kigamboni hosting the most, namely the Kimbiji Ruins, Mbutu Bandarini and Mbuamaji historic sites.
