Love You Still is Morissette trying to reach out to her estranged father, mother and brother. I don't know the exact details or reasons why her father would not talk to her, for more than three years now. Some say it's because of her falling in love and marrying Dave. But why? Dave is a good man, and we have seen how much he loves and supports Morissette in all things including her music. Her father should actually be proud that she made the right choice for a husband. This is a song that pulls her emotions, made even more emotional by the sound of the cello accompaniment, maybe that's why she herself broke down to tears listening to it. I did some checking on this song trying to find out why this was so emotional to her. This song she is singing, Love You Still, is to her father because she chose to marry Dave Lamar over her family and her father basically was his hands of her for that choice. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 good show, but I think she is just expressing her feelings towards her father. Not as you say, taking us on a journey. Too personal, I am not even sure why she would post this version. Too vulnerable, too raw, too deep. Filos tend not to bare their inner feelings, but maybe times has changed. May she find happiness with her dad. It is uncomprehensive this is still as it is. She is too precious to carry this burden.
