For the first time hearing this song I find it ironic that you literally were singing the song under your breath as it's playing yeah good reaction video!

Anni-Frid pronounced the words clearly but remember she's not a speaking english singer. She's great. She delivered the song in excellent manner. Luv ABBA songs.

Multiple songs have sampled Ram Jam's "Black Betty", including hits by Tom Jones and Spiderbait. These recordings retain the structure of Ram Jam's version of the song, which was released in 1977. "Black Betty" has a long history, with origins that may date back to the 19th century and the time of slavery. The song was likely used as a work song by enslaved Africans on farms and plantations. The first recording of the song was done acapella by James Iron Head Baker, a career criminal who worked in a prison in Sugarland, Texas. The blues performer Lead Belly's 1939 version of the song caught the attention of Bill Bartlett, who was involved in the recording of Ram Jam's version of the song.

The song is based on Joel’s experience as a lounge performer in Los Angeles in the early 1970s. He performed as such for about six months between 1972 and 1973 at the now-defunct Executive Room bar in the Wilshire district. He’d move to California from his native New York to avoid the record company he’d signed a contract with after the poor performance of his album, Cold Spring Harbor. Joel lived in L.A. for about three years working under the name “Bill Martin” since he couldn’t use his own name, due to contract issues. And all of the people highlighted in the song are based on Joel’s real-life encounters. John at the bar was an actual bartender who worked during Joel’s shifts. Paul the real estate novelist is a real estate agent who was also named Paul, and each night he sat at the bar and worked on what might become the next great American novel. The waitress who practiced politics was Joel’s first wife, Elizabeth Weber, whom he moved to L.A. with in 1972. She also worked at The Executive Room while Joel performed.

Live music with instruments and soulful vocals is still being made. Larkin Poe is a current band, won a Grammy last year for their last album, for best Contemporary Blues album, and releasing their next one in January 2025. Raised in Georgia, living in Nashville, they are 2 sisters Megan and Rebecca Lovell, multi instrumentalists, but primarily with Rebecca on Guitars and lead vocalist, Megan on Lapsteel guitar, with a slide. Classically trained on piano and violin, from the age of 4, and formed a Bluegrass acoustic band in high school with their older sister Jessica on Violin, Megan on Dobro ( a brand of steel/resonator guitar), and Rebecca on Mandolin, Banjo, and Guitar. That band played festivals all over the US, and Europe, and won a invite to do three appearances on the PBS Radio show, Prairie Home Companion. Rebecca, at age 15, was judged the winner of the Best Mandolin award, at the Merlefest Bluegrass Festival, the youngest and first female, to do so. Jessica graduated and left the band for college and marriage, the other two reformed it into a duo, and named it Larkin Poe, after their fourth great grandfather, who was a cousin of Edgar Allen Poe, in 2010. As they evolved, they added a Bass player and Drummer, for their live performances. Their live shows are great, and I suggest you check out their Rockpalast show from Cologne, Germany, in 2023 on YT , for the Songs "Summertime Sunset", "Preachin' Blues", and " Bolt Cutters and the Family Name". Other great originals are "Ex Con", "Trouble in Mind"," Bleach Blonde Bottle Blues","Mad as a Hatter", "Don't", "Mississippi"," Keep Diggin"," Deep Stays Down" and all the other songs from the Grammy winning "Blood Harmony" album, or any of the covers they make their own, on their cover channel, with 120+ songs from anyone and everyone. All good reaction material. 😊❤

I would REALLY like you to react to a specific song from a Brazilian band called "Roupa Nova" (that means New Clothes in english), one of the best Brazilian popular bands of all time, in which there were 2 main singers (including one of whom is the band's own drummer). Unfortunately, one of those singers passed away from Covid-related complications a few years ago, and he was simply a phenomenal singer, his tone, his charisma, the strength of his voice, the emotion with which he sang and the genuine love he had for music. So please, I'm DESPERATE to watch someone react to this specific song and version: Please, if you read my message, you can even contact me, but please think carefully about reacting to this song. She is very beautiful and special to many Brazilians. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIKanIWtjpirbrMsi=JpxugOACIT_Ctsk9
