All valuations were correct at the time of broadcast. This elegant Scottish Sheraton sideboard dates back to around 1790, and was built and designed by master craftsmen. It is one the best examples of a sideboard you will ever see. Hugh Scully and the experts from Antiques Roadshow take a look at some fantastic antiques and the history and stories surrounding them. I can remember a time not so long ago that people said brown furniture was old hat, and it would never come back into fashion! Well, they were completely wrong, it did come back into fashion and if it goes out again it will come back again. Antique furniture of this quality is a joy to behold and is appreciated today.

Only Cuban mahogany could survive all the places it has lived. Without air conditioned rooms. It’s not hard to create those feet. The appraiser is being over dramatic
