Usually with the really expensive stuff that belongs to the Army or a Museum etc, the person who looks after it knows more about it than the AR expert can ever tell them. It's not a "discovery", everyone already knows how valuable it is.

I had the privilege of seeing the largest expo of Faberge eggs and other Faberge creations collected in one location at a special expo in Brussels in 2005. They had some 'plants' like these and I can confirm in person they are utterly astonishing! I don’t let others do parts of my designs though...I seem to need to do the whole project...I wouldn’t mind getting to play with some of the old Imperial Russian materials though. They had such stunning gems, and a love for using different colour gold alloys together. I love that they also used unusual materials as well, like cow horn and semiprecious stones...not as costly as some, but still the best quality. 🖤🇨🇦

Spur-of-the-Mountain The only one that is really worth anything is the purple 1997 Princess Diana beanie baby! I've seen it sold on eBay for $5,000!

Andy Saenz By the way, I have one of those Diana Beanie Babies, not because it was a beanie baby, but for Diana... she was me heroine. Trust me... nobody would pay that much for it.... maybe fifty bucks at most.

Exquisite Faberge, a sprig of apple blossom. What a wonderful story too. I would loved to have seen inside the box, to see how they keep it safe in there.

Nice to see Stamford Cartwright, the conservator, again after 66years. ' Knew him as a young chorister at St James' Church, Wollaston then. He always had a cheeky grin and a good sense oh humour.
