I suspect the answer to your question Bruce is that many of the boats out there are charter yachts and the crew are inexperienced/too scared/lazy etc to attempt sailing. We observed this too when we were over in Greece in 2018. Well done in sailing off anchor solo, 👍.

I suspect you are right David, and also for some it’s a race to get a spot on a wall at the next bay, which they’ll miss out on if they sail!

@@bruce3077 Too true and yes I hadn’t thought of that. That makes sense, albeit in so many ways defeats the reason in my mind to be sailing around the Med..
