Wei Sawdong Falls in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya | Mawsmai Caves, Limestone caves
On the last day of our Meghalaya Trip, we visited popular tourist attractions of Cherrapunji, Meghalaya. This was our 2nd day in Cherrapunji.
We had already covered Double Decker Living Root Bridge and Blue Lagoon Waterfall on our first day in Cherrapunji (Sohra)

Today, we will be covering the remaining 5 MUST VISIT attractions of Cherrapunji:
1. WEI SAWDONG Waterfall 🌊:
We embark on an awe-inspiring journey to Wei Sawdong Falls, one of Meghalaya's hidden gems nestled in the heart of the East Khasi Hills district.
We'll guide you through the scenic trek, showcasing the lush forests and captivating vistas that make this journey unforgettable.
2. MAWSMAI CAVES:
The Mawsmai Caves, located in Cherrapunji, Meghalaya, India, are a popular tourist attraction known for their natural beauty and intriguing geological formations.
Mawsmai Caves are characterized by narrow passages, low ceilings, and stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations that have been shaped over centuries by water erosion.
3. SEVEN SISTERS WATERFALL:
The Seven Sisters Waterfall, also known as the Nohsngithiang Falls, is a breathtaking natural wonder located in Meghalaya, India. It is one of the most renowned and spectacular waterfalls in the state, offering a mesmerizing sight for visitors in Monsoon.
4. DAINTHLEN FALL
It is named after a legendary creature called "Thlen," which is said to have haunted the area in ancient folklore. The waterfall offers a stunning display of natural beauty and is a popular tourist destination in the region.
5. WAH KABA WATERFALL (also known as the Weikaba Falls):
As you drive along the Shillong-Cherrapunji Highway, the Wah Kaba Waterfall comes into view, cascading down a series of rocky steps amidst the verdant landscape. The water falls from a height, creating a stunning display of rushing water and mist.

Hi Sonali, we had taken a flight to Guwahati and from there we had booked a self drive car for our trip. You can do the same or hire a chauffeur driven car from a travel agent. We hope you enjoyed our videos. Let us know if you have any more queries.

Can you share the self-drive car details/ number and whats the cost per day and which vehicle you took?

We had booked a 7 seater vehicle - Renault RediGo Plus from Zoomcar... It wasn't that spacious though. It costed around 13k (excluding fuel) for 7 days from Guwahati.

We had also enquired from other self drive cars from the net... They were offering us Hyundai Creta for 18K... This would have been a better ride as the road conditions at some places are not so good (especially near Dawki).
