In Serbia, most of the farmers are driving a licensed version of the Massey MF 35 called IMT 539, which has proved to be excellent, and we also have a lot of spare parts that are cheap. My grandfather bought a new IMT 539 in 1974 that still does all the work on the farm.

Great to see you with your dad, and great to see him helping out - Still so strong. My dad passed away 4 years ago and it was a very hard time for me - I loved him so much. My only advice, enjoy those moments. never take a moment for granted. One day - he will go too, there is no way around it. But - your interaction with him now will mean so much to you when he's moved on. Trust me it will make all the difference. Being the man that you are - I'm hopeful that you already know this anyway ;) so thumbs up to you sunshine.

I was back on the farm today. The little fergie is still there. I spent my day dragging timber out of the woods for planking and firewood. Haven't done that in probably 30 years. It was great and the smell was so evocative and transported me back to my youth. I regretted not taking my video camera along but it was too busy anyway. There is something more than just working in the woods that gives you a sense of reward.
@carolleenkelmann38295 жыл бұрын
The mention of the massy or the Fergie brought back memories of 30yrs +, but it was my mother who used to drive it up and down the travel hill to the back patch of the farm. She lived this little tractor!

@@senioroutsider2975 I love watching you and your son working together on projects. Our children have moved away so we seldom have the opportunity to work with them, BUT... Our son and two sons-in-laws built a treehouse when we were all together here at home (about 4 times per year). Took us three years to complete (this is a ramped up treehouse, for sure!) but our 4 grandsons are enjoying playing and sleeping up in the trees when they visit now; and this spring I will be moving my art studio up there! It was a blessing to watch the family all work together to accomplish this. I grin every time I see you guys getting it done!
