Suggest you use conduit under your cabin otherwise the mice will eat the wire and cause problems. I live in the north woods where this is common. Really nice cabin.

This is great info but please remind people to only do this to a tree when absolutely necessary. It really sucks for the tree. It would be better to leave this task to foresters or ecologically trained arborists to only do this when selectively harvesting an entire tree to use the whole thing for building or similar purposes, instead of taking a little cambium and leaving it to struggle the rest of its life. We don't want a bunch of amateurs going around hacking off bark from trees for a fun afternoon experiment.

The gel batteries are a good option for the cabin. The Jackary thing with its lithium batteries is fine until the batteries get cold. Then they stop working or worse, if you try to charge a cold lithium battery, they can burst. I've had that happen. A better option would be salt batteries. Those go on forever with minor maintenance.

I'm curious... wouldn't it have been easier to place the cabinets and sink on the back wall of the washroom? It seems like it would've simplified the plumbing and wiring a bit. Not to mention that it would free up the cabin wall to create a breakfast bar with stools. And you'd still have room to include shelves above both walls.

How/where is the shower?

I like this. Good job on it. I wonder if copper tube's would be better for the baffles. Also to burn 4 candles at a time, put them all in something like a bread pan so you can reuse the wax once they melted. Which would also make it easier to move up the candles as they burn down. Maybe use a splitter to ad one more baffle to each pipe coming up to the baffles. Doubling the baffles to be heated. Those are the only possible improvements I can come up with. It's pretty efficient.

Why do you not cover your windows with drapes? It would keep more of the heat you're creating from the fire inside the house rather than going cold against the glass. It will help reduce the amount of wood you burn. If you make the curtain rails longer than the width of the windows you can pull them right off the glass when the weather's good, and you can get the full width view out the windows. I would also make a drape to cover the door similarly. It's another layer of insulation and heat retention.
