Much respect for being one of the few reaction channels to have any Alan Parsons Project songs, and even more so for listening to Ammonia Avenue, which is one of the songs throughout my life that made me sit up and go 'woah' the first time I heard it (like Leave it by Yes, and a few others). Alan Parsons knew how to make good music, with Ammonia Avenue being one of the albums that I consider 'perfect' as every song from it was just magic. So happy to hear younger people enjoying stuff from back when music was done without a lot of the gimmicks of today.

Such an underrated band…. the entire « Eye in the sky » album is fire, the « Turn of the friendly card suite » of 18 min is amazing and tracks here and there appear like mushrooms and it’s always good

Also there is a great video of his touring band in Colombia in 2019 which is well worth watching I know I bought the DVD and enjoy the rush of watching on a big screen. Anyway enjoy!

And suddenly I’m a teenager again. I got introduced to Alan Parsons Project around 1979/1980 when Eve was released. Damned if I Do was on moderate rotation on the radio and as a 13/14 year old I was amused at someone using a “bad” word in a mainstream song. I got this album the day it was released and did exactly what you did. Listened to it with headphones. No ambient noises, just the music. But it was on vinyl not KZbin. I was a weird kid in high school. I loved my 80’s hair metal but I gravitated toward music that was more composed and layered. I guess cuz I was a band/drama geek. I was into these guys, Queen, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, Meatloaf, ELO. Stuff with more than just screaming guitars and booming drums. I’m glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!

The Alan Parsons Project were a British rock band active between 1975 and 1990, whose core membership consisted of producer, audio engineer, musician and composer Alan Parsons and singer, songwriter and pianist Eric Woolfson. Parsons was a tape operator for the Beatles His job at the time, as "a very green tape operator," was to capture everything the Beatles did on tape. Parsons was the sound engineer on albums including the Beatles' Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973)
