Admiral King once said of General Patton, "When the going gets tough, you call the sons of bitches. " Patton was a tough one, and what we needed at the time.

John wrote some of the most truthful, poignant lyrics of any American songwriter. Bob Dylan wrote “The only thing that I don’t like about Prines songs is that they end too soon.”

Go see "Leonid and Friends". They're on their 5th or 6th tour of the U.S. They play this tune and many others by Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Steely Dan, and other horn bands from the 1970s. They are out of Russia, Ukraine. Live performance is as good or better than the original. Check out their KZbin videos. 2025 schedule is on their website now .

I am saying it’s obscene for a billionaire to hoard their wealth or waste it on blasting another dumb rocket into space when there are people starving and unhoused and in need of medical care. How dare they. It’s disgusting. Shame on them

Glad to see a younger generation enjoying the kind of music that I grew up on. Love your enthusiasm. BTW...The first solo that you hear with the lower tone is a trombone played by James Pankow and the other solo with the higher tone is a trumpet played by Lee Loughnane.

Such a beautiful, sad song. I loved the early Bee Gees. The real Bee Gees. It's been said that didn't feel comfortable doing their disco stuff. This is the real them. Robin Gibbs' voice brings tears to my eyes. This song speaks to so many.
