I Understand where you’re coming from but when you say for the sake of the kids, does that mean we are only together for our kids? What happens to the relationship when the kids are grown and out of our home? I am a child of a mother who stayed in a bad and unhealthy marriage for the sake of the kids. Now that I’m grown, it pains me knowing my mom gave up her own happiness. Stay in a relationship because you want to, not for the sake of anyone.

Hi Angel, always remember that kids will grow up and later move away and at the end of the day it’s only Aiden and you left. I also recommend doing things to keep the spark alive. How about using one of those days at home together to watch a movie together or make a new dish together or go watch a matinee movie! You guys can do it. God bless.

As someone who is going through divorce right now, I'll be honest. Spend time with each other 1-2 times a week. It will help with your relationship more than you think. Because you barely seem to have the time to have "us" time with Aiden now, the sparks will gradually die out. I spent so much time away from my ex-husband and always spent time with the kids and alone, that gradually I lost the connection I once had with him. Talk to Aiden about it as well. It will really help with the relationship. Letting him become aware of how you are feeling about your marriage at the moment will allow him to realize how little time you both have together at the moment.

PerfectRightNow PerfectRightNow after moving to korea we actually have so much time alone now! since aiden use to work full time when he was in america. but now that he stays home and does photography once in awhile we are together every single day (and alone time 8-3pm while kids r at school). but yess would be nice if we had someone to watch the kids at night for us to go on dates but mother in law moved 5 hours away from where we live :(

it's wrong to think that you can only learn 1 language at a time and that it'd be easy for your kids to learn English later on because they picked up Korean so quickly. The reason why they picked up Korean so quickly is BECAUSE they were young and the prime time to pick up languages is during early childhood. I'm not saying it'll be impossible for your kids to learn English and they will when you move back to the US and go to school (duh). But it's best for kids to learn languages and become bilingual from when they are in their early childhood years. It actually becomes more difficult to pick up languages as you get older. Kids who are bilingual from the BEGINNING are scientifically proven to be more intelligent too. What parents usually do is they speak their native tongue at home with their kids and the kids learn English at school or 1 parent speaks English and the other speaks their native tongue or they use both English and the other language. I mean them learning Korean in Korea is beneficial, but they could've become bilingual in America too so long as you and Aiden consistently taught them and spoke to them in Korean as they went to school. You didn't have to move to Korea for them to become fluent in Korean. How else do you think other bilingual or trilingual kids in the US or UK, etc. learn multiple languages without moving to their home countries? lol. Also, considering they'll still be young when you move back to Korea, unless they continue to study Korean and use it, they'll lose it. My friends who moved here when they were in elementary/middle school... yeah they can speak it but not as fluently. But yeah, if someone tells you otherwise it is FALSE. For a long time "language specialists" would tell parents not to speak 2 languages at home because it will confuse your kids. BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE. Your kid WILL retain both languages and become bilingual. My parents had the same misconception and although Korean was my 1st language they stopped speaking to me in Korean once I entered school because they thought I would have difficulty learning English, which is not true and I would've been bilingual :( lol but yeah just thought I should put this out there.
