BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - A Romance Sleep Story | Voice Only Fairytale | Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups

This is an original 6-part modern-day retelling of the classic fairy tale 'Beauty and the Beast'. This sleep story for grown ups has brief music during the introduction and is then voice only. I didn't feel it sounded so good with the sound of rain in the background, but perhaps if enough people request a 'storytelling and rain' version I may create and share that. There is also some visual effects on screen for the first 10 minutes. After this, the rest of the video is black-screen only.
This modern-day retelling is set in London and Scotland.

Here is an overview of the story:
Isabella "Bella" Hart is a bright young woman working in a London bookstore. She dreams of adventure and romance, but her reality is filled with the mundane. Her father, a widowed scientist, discovers an opportunity to explore ancient ruins in Scotland's Galloway Forest. A business tycoon named Gregory owns the land and invites Bella's father to explore it.
Bella's father uncovers a mysterious artefact, but accidentally breaks it. In fury, Gregory demands a favour in return. He returns home, troubled but unwilling to share his burden with Bella.
Bella discovers her father's secret and insists on fulfilling the promise herself. She travels to Braemorran Castle, finding a world of enchantment and secrets. Gregory, though distant and moody, is not as he seems.
Bella spends time with Gregory, learning about his past and his scars, both physical and emotional. They grow closer, discovering a shared love for literature, art, and music. Their friendship blossoms into something more.
A misunderstanding leads to a rift between Bella and Gregory. Bella returns to London, heartbroken. Gregory is left to reflect on his feelings and actions. Both realise what they've lost.
With encouragement from her friends, Bella returns to Braemorran Castle to confront her feelings and make amends with Gregory. They confess their love, and Gregory's metaphorical beast is tamed. They decide to face the future together, filled with hope, love, and understanding.

Ingenious idea to make a modern twist on Beauty and the Beast. This is one of my favorite stories. I was Belle for a theater production as a child. I like the fact that there was a dynamic character arc between each of them. She was beautiful, educated, and courageous. She was able to look past the physicality and even his internal cruelty to change him from the inside out. Not many people today would have that kind of patience and love for someone. Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice is another dynamic character I can think of within this vein. I’ve just gotten out of the hospital, was there for the holidays for a mass and surgery. These sleep stories are so comforting. Bless you for your creations 🤍

@@DanJonesHypnosisI’m at the beginning of recovering and the drs are still trying to figure out what it is with biopsies and operations. It’s painful everyday , but with love and I’m grateful for everyone’s prayers I will heal 🤍🕊️. Maybe this happened for a reason in the future that I do not know fully yet, where I will be able to empathize even more with those suffering in this world.

I never get the opportunity to say thank you to people when I get PayPal donations and other than them saying the name I never know where the donations came from, like whether someone clicked the link on Spotify or KZbin etc, so it is helpful when there is a message to go with it. The benefits of the PayPal donation option is that a large percentage goes to the creator. If it is in a foreign currency then PayPal take a conversion fee, but it is still usually less (unless it is a small donation) than using SuperThanks etc...

So far not that well. It initially led to a lot of unsubscribes, but now it is back even on subscribers, but it does say it isn't popular with my regular subscribers or viewers. It was worth giving it a go and seeing if there is an audience interested in something a little different. If it ends up finding an audience I might make more modern day retelling stories. There are some ideas I have which aren't exactly modern day, but are more modern than they were, like a Victorian version of Homer's stories...

@@DanJonesHypnosis yes, never hurts to try something new, as you said even if not popular with regular subscribers it may take off with others. I know you're referring to the classic author Homer but automatically pictured Homer Simpson 🤣....I mean that might also be fun. I don't know how legit it is but I've seen a few ads on Instagram for a rhyming story competition and thought you might find that interesting or would you find the forced rhyming too restrictive and frustrating?
