Every time I hear this version of the song I think of this story that I wrote. There once was a girl in a small village that was the most beautiful of them all, and was named Beauty because of it. As she grew up, the village noticed how strange she was, always reading books and going on 'adventures' in the woods near by. It was on one of these adventures that she got lost, having walked to far off the path. Soon enough dark came and, unknown to her, she walked closer and closer to a long forgotten castle. But before she could reach the castel, she was attacked by wolfs! Running for her life, she ran and ran and ran until she tripped over a branch and fell. Thinking she was done for she closed her eyes, hoping for a quick death. Instead a strong wind flew past her, and right after it a thunderous roar come from right in frount of her. Opening her eyes she saw a beast in front of her with his back turned to her. She was afraid, yet he was protecting her from the wolves, and as he roared agin, she was saved from them. The wolves ran in fright and she was left alone with the beast, and he turned to her. Even after all those years alone, he was still a kind man, and offered his castle to her until she was well enough to go home. So on they went, and the girl stayed there for many more than one night, getting to know the beast that had saved her. They both eventually told the other their feelings for each other and lived happily together, until the village came looking for the girl. They stormed the castle, and seeing the beast thought that he had took her. The girl, hearing the village storm the gates, ran toward the chaos until she standing right above them and the beast. She watched, as in their hatred, those from the village shot the beast many times, killing her love. The girl screamed, and went mad. She started trying to hurt those from the village, and took out quite quite a few of them before two were able to grab her and hold her down. She fought them tooth and nail, trying to get up and fight. At one point she did manage to kick off the two guards, and she tilted her head back and screamed her agony, and then was shot. Stilling in surprise, she fell backward onto the soft land. Faintly she heard the man who shot her say, "I had to, she was acting like a beast!" Not caring she look to her side, and saw her beast, and reached for him. Her hand touched his, and then it went limp, the life going out of her. So the beauty and beast did not have a happy ending, and those around them could never tell who was the beauty, and who was the beast in the end. Thanks for reading :)
