I did not know that How to Love a Duke in 10 Days and Ravished have a beauty and the beast retelling aspect to it! They both just moved higher up my TBR! ❤❤

All the historicals you suggested are favorites of mine (which shows how much I love this trope lol)! When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James, The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare, My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid, and The Beast of Beswick by Amelie Howard are other favorites of mine for this trope. :)

A court of thorns and roses by Sarah J. Maas is the 1st book in the series and is a beauty and the beast retelling. In this book we have the human world and the fea world. The two worlds are seperated by a magical invisible wall which doesn't allow humans to cross over. Fayre is a human and is the main provider for her sisters and father who is ill. One day she goes to the forest to hunt. There she finds a giant wolf. She knows that it's from the fea world but she is desperate to have food for her family so she kills it. A day or so later when the whole family is in the house the door busts open and in comes a huge bear/wolf (i can't remember the creture). He is from the fea world and demands to know who killed that wolf. Fayre admits to it and the beast demands that she has to go with him to his world to take the place of the wolf that she killed. So in order to protect her family she goes with him. They cross the magical invisible wall and go to the beast's court. He is Tamlin the high lord of the spring court and we find out later on that he had his reasons for taking Fayre with him. The book is pretty amazing and the later books are even better. Highly recommend!

I love many Beauty and the Beast retellings but I'm not a fan of historical romance which is so weird.

May I recommend that you read the merciless series by W. Winters which is a mafia retelling of beauty and the beast bc I read it last year and absolutely would love to hear your thoughts on it 😃
