Those are good recs! The Highwayman (Kerrigan Byrne), The Bride and the Beast (Teresa Medeiros) and The Duke Redemption (Grace Callaway) are also Beauty & the Beast retellings! In The Duke Redemption, the "beast" is actually the heroine, while the hero is the " beauty" :)

You should totally check out the happy ever regency series by Bree Wolf! It's a series of historical romance fairytale retellings! Book one is loosely sleeping beauty - it has the amnesia trope, beautiful writing and SO MUCH ANGST, I absolutely adored it, one of my favourite books this year! It also did a lot of set up for book two which is a beauty and the beast retelling!! I'm so excited after how incredible book one was, going to start it soon!

A Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss is a really old school historical romance that is a BATB retelling. I don’t think I’ve read many tbh, but I love retellings! 😄

I love Beauty and the Beast retellings! One that is a historical romance is An Unusual Bride for a Beastly Duke by Emma Lineheart. Another (that I have not read yet) is a Regency romance, How To Tame A Beastly Lord. Enjoy all of your retellings - it is a great subgenre.

Love these recc’s so much! && yes that is the full name of one person. In historicals they normally have their first name and last name and then their title. Sometimes their title is a place or a name. So Gideon Westbrook is his first and last name. Viscount of St. Justin is his full title in the nobility and how people know to address him (Sir, Lord, Your Grace ect...) ☺️ Often times they will be addressed with their last name and their title in public unless the person is familiar enough to use their first name ex: Lord Westbrook. All the titles in historical romances are my fav, it just sounds so fancy 😂 Also, I have heard so many great things about that Elizabeth Boyle book so now I NEED to read it 👏

I think that is one person because the second part sounds like a title although I have no clue what a viscount is. Yes there is one person on the planet that has never read it watched Beauty And The Beast. I do enjoy retellings and already had a few on my radar.

I wouldn’t technically call Brazen and the Beast a Beauty & the Beast retelling. There’s not much closely linking it to the fairytale, but it is an incredible feminist romance. The series is great to be read in order too. It’s the second in the Bareknuckle Bastards series.
