I started going to church after about 20 years, but stopped again. There were many crazy people who would come in off the street and the place felt unsafe. One time this crazy walked all the way to the alter and put down a backpack and hurried out. Everyone pretended that it wasn't there. No security in these places and that's why they are the perfect place for a mass shooting. I pray at home. It's just too dangerous to go out and do anything anymore. The catholic church has "made up" the fact that you need to go to a priest to confess. 1 John 1:9 says: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." James 5:16 says: "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed."

About Rudy Guede: he did not act alone. Note: this is, by the way, a fact established definitively by the last verdict. But it is just a proven fact - it is evidence whoever wants to look into it - that this murder was phisically committed by more than one person. It is a fact that it would be impossible for a single perpetrator to commit this crime. Forget about Introna's theory, which is unrealistic and inconsistent with findings and was rightly dismissed by the judge. Meredith Kercher was killed by multiple perpetrators. While Knox is officially proven to have been certainly present at the murder. Knox, actually, did indeed take part physically to the killing action - she was not just an observer - but still, bear in mind that even a "passive" observer would bear responsability, because Meredith Kercher did not die on the spot. She died of blood loss after an agony of ten minutes or more. Not just the physical perpetrators, but even a hypothetical passive observer who happened not to call for help would be a person committing a serious life-threatening or deadly offense,

What a tragedy & such lessons in the comments. I shall never cease to be amazed at how Christians judge & tear each other down. Thankful that I come from a family with all stripes - Protestant, Catholic and even Atheists. I’m blessed to be Catholic - the weaknesses of the Church have taught me not to judge and to trust God first. I can’t go around laughing at other denominations - even religions because I’ve had to really consider my faith and it’s by Grace I’m here. To err is human, our “religions” are but human interpretations of the grace of God. Just because someone professes religion doesn’t mean they will do good. The many comments from other Christians regarding confession or the way others pray remind us that we should pray always, and above all, love our neighbors as ourselves. Let everyone - pastor, priest m or President - who is doing wrong in the name of God, be brought to light - that’s the right thing to do. The faith does not stand on the shoulders of the wolves, but those who have been called by Grace. Light shines in the darkness.

In my 13 years being an alter girl, myself and my brothers never heard anything negative. When you live next to where they make the bullshit it's easier to smell. Of course that's just one kind of experience. I strongly suggest you open a few history books, you'll see the Church's fingerprints all over the most prominent power plays of the last 2 millennia. It's not even an underground conspiracy theory-type thing, it's right there in black and white in the open. They were the equivalent of today's greedy multimillion dollar companies. They've never stopped wanting power, even as they're steadily losing it now people are no longer as poor and ignorant as they used to be. Religion may not be perfect but that doesn't mean its all bad. Sure, theres a history of (in)directly committing or having others commit heinous acts of violence towards others, often the most unsuspecting/defenseless/innocent on its behalf. And psychopaths, pedophiles, murderers, etc... hav often used religion as a tool or a cover (gain victim's trust/respect, justify hellish acts as moral/right when on behalf of/in the name of God). (Just referring to Christianity here bc thats relevant to the vid) - Has the church done everything in its power to provide transparency & aide in pursuit of justice? No, the opposite actually. - Has the church created a profession tht attracts predator types, then forbids marriage, swears em to celebacy while simultaneously making ppl enter a dark closet & whisper fuck secrets in their ear thru a hole in the wall? Unfortunately, yes & still do. - Have they used their vast power & influence to bring about justice & restitution to its victims? Nope, only protect their predators by moving them to other unsuspecting church - Religious Wars? Yup I kno thats alot of bad stuff & unfortunately, all true. If this was a corporation tht had done any of this, they wouldn't exist anymore. Yet, this continues. But all of that said, there is also a lot of good that many find in religion. You cannot discount the positive affect it has on millions of ppl's lives. & if that betters their lives, then great. If that elevates their mood, confidence, lives, & encourages ppl to be charitable & help yur family & neighbors & misfortunate - then thats alot of good coming from religion thts happening worldwide every single day that u just never hear about. This is why its such a big deal when this happens bc its not what you'd expect & so contradictory to the positive contributions the church is normally known for. Do yur own pro/con list. & you'll see that u don't even rly believe that nothing good cones from religion or the church. Personally, id say offering everyone an afterlife is enough to weigh out the bad or at least its a great start towards redemption for them

Confession and asking of forgiveness of sins should be with the sinner and the person involved and then with God.

No one is above the law or can hide behind their religious beliefs. However, this is not a religious crime. But instead is the crime of a man against a woman. A crime of men thinking they are superior and that women are only useful for pleasure or abuse. Men & women need to learn respect for themselves, and for others as those who respect do not violate, abuse, demoralize others.
