I'm from the US and am bummed about this. The FDA needs to step it up and get with it. It's ridiculous how outdated the sunscreen filters are. I refuse to use any US sunscreens for that reason. Also, Rob, thanks for the sale! How long will it run?
@LauraDelcea9 сағат бұрын
For once a situation that doesn’t impact Europe, Australia & Asia… But it’s so sad for our fellow skin care nerds in the US. I hope FDA will soon take a goood look at their (by now) ancient sun filters. 🙏🏼

I agree hun its so sad for US consumers who dont import in as they shouldnt be penalised by a regulator who cant get their stuff together.. love x
@cherylreitz47797 сағат бұрын
Here in the states the FDA is SOOOOO behind the times on this stuff no new sunscreen filters since 1999. I am so sick of it and it is only going to get worse here with all federal offices are being gutted by the current administration

Hi Rob! I was slightly worried... The BOJ sunscreen has been my go to. Luckily I'm not in FDA country. Thank you for pointing out all these alternatives! It's always good to have an option. Thanks! :)

Yeah I think there is a lot of worry out there but this wont impact anyone other than the US and Canada.. hope the alternatives come in useful.. love x

I usually always get everything Korean from Stylevana etc. I don't trust it when I see it in stores because of that reason. Thanks Rob. Awesome as usual.❤

On top of that our crappy sunscreens are more expensive than ordering the MAS sunscreen which is why I keep so many in stock

I am from the US and I was so mad about this while its not my everyday sunscreen because its not water and sweat resistant I definitely use it and enjoy it especially on cooler drier weather and when i am just around the house or running errands it sits so nicely under makeup and doesn’t dry out or sensitize my skin ( i use retin A- I panicked because i thought they were trying to block importing it. So stupid. And Yes I do about two to three big orders a year from the Asian beauty and EU sunscreens

That's similar here in Australia. I don't buy anything that hasn't been tested and approved here. UV index gets to 12 quite easily in summer, so we gotta be really careful. BoJ hasn't been tested here, but it gets sold on websites. The TGA does not consider it sunscreen thou.

Yeah in Aus you have to have the highest standards and I think its something all brands should aspire to pass.. love x

Beauty of Joseon is the best sunscreen I've ever had. It has no comparison to any other product out there. It moisturizes, fills dry lines, light up your skin from within in the most natural non greasy way. It's pure miracle in the bottle.
@Sabeenbeen4 сағат бұрын
I am in the US, and I put off buying BoJ. Once again, I bought an expensive sunscreen I don't like..mineral is hard to make cosmetically elegant and chemical burns my eyes. So off to search again and it randomly came up in my search that BoJ would stop selling their Korean sunscreens on their site. Yesterday night, I bought a few and today they're gone from their US website with the new US versions! I hope I like them, but also hope the other websites can still sell them down the line.

Thanks Rob for the video! Really great addressing this pretty big problem that concerns a lot of people. I feel really bad for the folks in the States but this kind of FDA crap (among a lot of other things) makes me feel so happy that I don't live there anymore😊 Please keep doing these skincare news videos. You're great at it!❤

BOJ sunscreen is not greasy and doesn’t cause my skin to itch and doesn’t sting my eyes. It is terrible that we can’t get this here any longer.

I’ll just keep ordering my favorite, Madagascar Centella sunscreen, once I run out, which will take awhile cause I grabbed a bunch during the holiday sales and I got them all 50% off. That one and the Isntree Hyaluronic acid watery sun gel are my absolute favorites. Maybe someday the US will finally get with the times and update the standards, but given the current situation I have my doubts that it will happen any time soon

I love BOJ sunscreen -- wearing it now. Also rotate a sunscreen "wardrobe" with the Jumiso and Haru Haru wonder. As my stock runs low I'll be sure to add your Mad About Skin product to my collection. I was so worried when I read your headline but glad to know I can still order Korean sunscreen from Stylevana. As you said, you do have to plan ahead and be patient. Takes about two weeks to arrive in the U.S.

My new love is COSRX’s Ultra-Light Invisible Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++. It’s light and it doesn’t leave me looking shiny. It applies like a Japanese sunscreen but without the alcohol. I think I like it better than the Skin1004, BOJ Aqua Fresh, and Round Lab’s sunscreens. It’s really affordable especially when it goes on sale at StyleKorean. It’s $15 USD but I was able to get the 1+1 deal at StyleKorean. The shipping time from Korea to the US is about a week or less.

I enjoyed the Jumiso sunscreen. However I was disappointed that my shipment this year came in with an expiration date in October. 😳😒☹️ Lia from Krave said that the effectiveness really wears off by the time you get close to the expiration date. I got them on sale and they were really trying to get rid of product. They even gave me a free one. I did enjoy the formula so will see if I buy again.

Thank you so much for this video! With everything currently going on here in the US, I know that not being able to buy the Korean sunscreen I want should be very low on my list of concerns, but this was just another thing adding to my stress. Everything you have heard about the sunscreens here is true-expensive, and most just not pleasant to wear. I've spent tons of money looking for the perfect US sunscreen, and some were so bad I couldn't make it through the whole bottle. I am happy to say that I am going to try the Mad About Skin sunscreen for the first time. Thank you again for your information, and your dedication to helping us all have great skin.

The only thing worse than applying the US sunscreens is applying them again as needed!! We are painfully slow to get with the “new” sunscreen filters. We have tremendous rates of skin cancer here and I know from my years in the treatment room that people hate the feel and/or look of the sunscreens here and will go without. Really not smart!
