it sounds so good 😭 i've got dry skin but i don't like really dewy sunscreens, partly because my hair is fine and gets greasy easily from touching my face, and partly because i moisturise my skin well to begin with so lots of due from my sunscreen can make it go overboard.. i've been looking for a hydrating but matte/non dewy sunscreen, that's so exciting!

Yes!! I would love a very good moisturizer or moisturizing SPF that is t greasy and that my hair doesn't stick to. It drives me crazy. Almost makes me.not apply SPF to my neck at times.

I'm glad that created a new cream rather than changing the original as I actually love the thickness at i have dry skin and dewy finish and very slight white cast. I have very pale skin and it lifts my skin a little and means I don't need make up. That said it's obviously not for everyone so having a second option it great.

Perfect timing: it's in my yesstyle cart (always using your code 😊) and currently deciding whether to get it or not 💜. Although we're heading towards the colder months, I think I'd like to give this new BoJ sunscreen a try. I wear spf everyday, even when I know I'm going to be indoors, so I don't think it'll be going to waste. And about the "Revive" thing, we're laughing with you, not at you.

Great review! I have a deeper skin tone (shade Caracas in Nars foundations) and never noticed a white cast with the original. I always apply the right amount but in two equal layers, so maybe that helps. I'm excited to try this new formula though, the original was too greasy for me!

Very good and detailed review as always! I like that you take your time and explain every little detail so it's easier to understand. I think one factor that no one talk about is also what kind of moisturizer you use. For example, I have very dry skin and tend to wear a pretty heavy cream during the day, so I prefer a light non-greasy sunscreen eventhough I have dry skin. I tried using the original BoJ sunscreen as a moisturizer and it wan't moisturizing enough for me. Also, have you tried the new Some by Mi Beta Panthenol line? The cream is my new favourite and I think a lot of people would enjoy it!

Tried and loving this new version, my skin is dry combo and the new version suit me ok as am staying in a hot and humid country. One point to bring up from this new version is the plastic smell (very light) which I can live with it, 😊

I didn’t like the original one (too greasy for my oily skin) and unfortunately I don’t like the new version. It pills like crazy on my skin when I apply the right amount. Just a drop works well enough but that won’t do.

That's too bad! I didn't experience pilling in my extensive testing but I have heard some folks mention the same thing! Pilling is usually caused by 2 products that don't agree with each other, but troubleshooting that is a PITA and usually not worth it.

This was useful buuut I felt like the overall texture/finish description was done twice and what was totally missing was any info on it's ingredients, apart from the silica. Like ok yes it has no niacinamide, but it does have b5 and of course it's in the name already but I feel like an ingredient comparison really went out the window here. Also, despite it not having a pump, the thinner output does provide more control and is an important improvement in my experience. What both packages have issues with is the softness of their tube material.

I wish they hadn’t included a salicylate. It’s because of them being in western sunscreens that I moved to Korean. I’ll stick with the original, which works great for me.

Thanks for the review. How would you compare the texture and matte feeling compared to haruharu wonder(yellow tube) and skin 1004. I found the relief BoJ too shiny for my skin. Haru haru has been the best, all around the year, although skin 1004 works alright for the colder months.

I think so, it's hard if you don't know your acne trigger ingredients but as far as being light and breathable for the skin, yes it's a good one!

I wasn't actually a fan of the original sunscreen, I did not find it very hydrating and actually prefered a lot of other korean sunscreens over it, like haru haru, Scinic, Make Prem water capsule, etude house soon jung etc. I am defo going to get this as it sounds a lot nicer especially for under makeup if it is matte and light

Hey, Kelly! Great review as always. I've been waiting for you to review the Aqua Fresh. Since you liked the HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen as well (that's my current holy grail), which do you prefer for under makeup (i.e texture, longevity-wise), the Aqua Fresh or HaruHaru? For context: I live in the Philippines and the humidity and heat here is crazy, I usually don't use primers, but HaruHaru made sure my makeup lasts 8-12 hours. But I'm curious about Aqua Fresh since it seems lighter than Haruharu.

You can always directly contact the brand, but it's likely "proprietary information." The panthenol in a sunscreen is less likely to make a huge difference for your skin. You'll want to find those meaningful amounts in toners, essences, and/or serums.
