CRISCO! Just like the maid in the movie "The Help" said! Actually, I use The Ordinary's Rosehip and Seed Oil on my wrinkly areas when I'm done cleansing, both in the morning and at night. Then I follow with either a fairly heavy moisturizing tinted sunblock by day or a lighter, cleaner moisturizer by night. And I always mix a little milky eye balm with my color corrector and concealer when I apply them. And I've found that Wet N Wild's Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse in a coral tone makes a great color corrector. But I digress! No miracles for wrinkles, but hey, a girl can dream, right? Thanks Laura Rae!

To be honest I don't use anything on my wrinkles. I've just accepted the fact that I have them, they are there, and live life to the fullest and loving myself -wrinkles and all! Blessings

My worst wrinkles are around my mouth, especially between my nose and upper lip. No matter what I’ve tried, they keep getting worse. I recently started using The Ordinary Argireline serum on them, and I’ve already noticed improvement, which is a big surprise. Following Rob’s (Mad About Skin) technique, I tap the serum on my wrinkles then follow it with whatever Argireline is left in my palm mixed with The Ordinary Matrixyl serum on all of my face. I use it twice a day. I’m stunned by the results.

You are the only person I've heard say that shine can make wrinkles look more pronounced, and I say yes, ma'am! And that goes for pores as well. I have purchased severa highly thought of l serum foundations and they look horrible on me! I thought it was just me, but I think you are absolutely right and I don't feel so bad!

Hi Laura as someone with both rosacea and eczema I found tretinoin a bit too strong for me, but I get good results with my retinaldehyde making the skin look plumper (which makes the wrinkles less obvious). However the best thing for texture on my skin has been azelaic acid. It helps with the rosacea and keeps my pores clear (making them less clogged up and enlarged). It also helps the retinoid to keep my skin feeling smoother - it's a great multipurpose ingredient I feel most people would see benefit from. Colour correctors used very thinly can really allow us to use less foundation or concealer, to cover the things we feel less confident about. For me it's mostly redness I really want to cover and a green tinted product can really help with that. I have never worn a full coverage foundation and feel much more like me in a light to medium coverage, which does allow my skin to peek through. Lighter weight formulations applied in a light layer, collect far less in any wrinkles than heavier products do on my skin. I only apply concealer where needed and blend it in well, avoiding the more wrinkled areas of my undereye. Primers can really help stop makeup gathering in wrinkles and make the skin look smoother also. Best wishes.

Hey, which Azelaic acid are you using? Thanks in advance.
@lorainemcgillivray772 жыл бұрын
@@donnadesisto6225 I'm currently using 15% prescription Finacea gel, but I did use a 10% OTC previously as well as the derivative. I started with the ordinary but didn't like the texture, so moved onto a now discontinued garden of wisdom 10% and then onto Geek and gorgeous Apad. From there I went up to the prescription strength, but that was after using azelaic acid for a couple of years. I hope that helps.

Thank you for the info… I’m about to give up on tretinoin…. The peeling and dry patches are ridiculous!!! I can’t even wear makeup over it -it looks so horrible!! I’m stepping down after many years and working my way up to .75…. Maybe my skin is tired of it??😂 I know I am 😂😂TY
@lorainemcgillivray772 жыл бұрын
@@AnnieBoBannie421 Hi tretinoin did work for me until the rosacea really was flaring a lot, but I only ever used the 0.05% every second day. That was enough for me to see really good results without my skin hating me lol. Retinaldehyde has to convert in the skin to retinoic acid, but only once - unlike retinol which needs two conversions. If you're using a 0.1% it may just be too strong and you don't need that high of a strength to get results. As we age our skin changes and menopausal skin is different than younger skin (even using retinoids). There is no harm in using a lower strength if your skin is struggling - after all irritation/inflammation is actually aging for us. I hope that helps.x

I've never noticed your wrinkles. You are a beautiful lady with a sweet personality. Have a great school year! I may be doing a long term sub for a 2nd or 3rd grade class. However, I prefer my regular job as their designated on site sub. I may end up with more wrinkles after this school year. 😆

Laura, have you ever heard of a product called “Nanoblur?” I read about it on another KZbinr’s channel. I have not personally used it yet. It’s available on Amazon. It seems to be a cross between a wrinkle blurrer/filler/tightener. I’m always on the hunt for something to help with saggy under eyes!

Since I'm starting fresh with my make up, one thing I've really noticed is that undertones are dodgy! Most people don't get it right. What is your recommendation in insuring you get the best match tone wise? I'm neutral and feel most are either too yellow, orange or even kinda green. Maybe it's an 'Angel' issue and nothing to do with the products....but I'm holding on to hope lol

Never heard of putting a primer over foundation, doesn’t it remove your makeup? It makes a little more sense to put it around your lips to stop lipstick from bleeding. Your skin is gorgeous !!! Don’t dwell on wrinkles they show you have lived life!
