Every time I see a long video from you, I tell myself there's no way I'm gonna watch the whole thing without skipping parts of it. And then I start watching and in the end I'm like "it's already the end? No waaay..." For me you're more entertaining to watch than tv shows. And it's not necessarily because of the things you do, but more because you are such a nice, fun person.

Jen I love every video you produce. I hate seeing comments like , "Why do you neeeeed all that makeup?" Of course you know you don't need it but ladies we don't go to others peoples houses and comment about their collection of plates or walk into their husbands garage saying why do you need all those tools? It's a hobby & fun! As a fellow makeup lover I know that things can pile up after you collect to review. I just wish you ladies would read what you write and realize that there's no need for your comment. We celebrate your purge and your hard work Jen but even if you never get rid of anything else you are still awesome! Thanks for sharing! Such a pleasure to watch!

Power to you Jen for cleaning and purging and donating to good causes like the woman's refuge, places that really need those things. Your clothing cleanout inspired me this Easter break to clean out and purge my linen cupboard and my wardrobe too and make a start on my home office. All my unwanted towels and sheets etc I gave to the local vets who can always use these things and my clothes and books I gave to the local thrift shop. I feel cleansed I must say :)

I love the long videos, quite happy to sit and watch the whole thing. I've spent a few hours for the past 7 days purging stuff, 16 bags later and this evening I'm finally done.......my house looks immaculate and feels even better!

I have a theory...I believe that all the toiletries, especially the ones under the sink, reproduce during the night and in the morning we keep finding products we don't remember purchasing! :) Purging is good once in a while!

kukishop They're related to coathangers that do exactly the same thing, ie, reproduce, however it is a gene not shared by socks which find company irksome and often go off on their lonesomes!

I've felt the same way about purging and I think it is also do with KZbin! When I first started watching videos back in 2009 I got so caught up in the massive make-up collections people had and all the must have products people owned that I felt I needed to get it all. It's only been in the last couple of years where I've paid much less attention to what everyone else is talking about and I've thought more about whether it would work for me! My collection went from 1 little drawer to 3 big drawers and recently back down to 2 small drawers again. It is refreshing to only own things you like. Have really loved the series :)

I love your purge videos. Six months ago I downsized into a 375 square foot studio apartment and I love having less stuff and am always whittling things down. I have purged a lot of makeup and skincare and am on a no-buy. I give myself a little mental gold star every time I completely empty a tube or hit pan with something. Such a good feeling. :-D

After watching your clothing purge I was inspired to clean out my closet and dresser and now I'm headed to my bathroom with a garbage bag (or two). I'm so inspired by this purge series. I literally stopped this video about 1/3 way through and purged all my make up and beauty supplies in both of my bathrooms, so amazed at how much is accumulated in a year or so...Thanks Jen!!!

Jen, I really like how you structured this video. Including the before and after as well as the purge process itself was really helpful. You covered A LOT in this video, but it was fun to watch and I'm a bit inspired now. Thanks for sharing the process with us! A side note though, I'm a little annoyed by how many people want to shame others for having a large collection and I'm reading some really judgmental comments. This helps no one. Collecting makeup is a hobby for some (including me), so if it's not for you, that's okay. But those who love it do not need to justify how much they purchase or what they spend. If you can't understand why someone would have 100 lipsticks, it's okay, you don't have to. For some it can become overwhelming, for others it works fine. To each their own! Please don't shame or judge us for enjoying something that maybe you don't. It's okay to have different interests. ;)

Nicely done!! I have a small make up bag and a few extras on one shelf. I actually feel a little bit like a minimalist now that I've seen your purge. It's great you are able to give so much of it away. Makeup has a short shelf life but your stash looked pristine!

Debbie Prins My perfume collection at the moment is pretty small and getting smaller. My scent preferences changed about a year ago and I've noticed they still are and I'm becoming more sensitive to perfumes in general. There's not much left to share in that department.

Woo Hoo! Great job, Jen! I'm not sure if it's good or bad but you're inspiring me to do another purge. I did a HUGE purge on my toiletries and cosmetics a little over a year ago but seeing you so excited makes me feel like I should do it again. I've been on a self-imposed no-buy except for replacements of necessities like skincare and mascara, but I'm sure I can always minimize some more. Kudos again for such a huge purge! I was cleaning and purging things in my home today. It really does make you feel lighter after all the work is done. Every day I tackle another task and each night I feel the difference. It's as if by unloading pieces, other pieces can fall more easily into place. Hard work but very rewarding.

I remember when you showed your paper organization in your office telling you that you will feel a huge weight off, if you got rid of all that paper. That was how I was, for years I kept all my pay stubs, all the bank records, all the bill statements. One day I was just like I hate all this paper and bagged it to shred. Boy does it take forever to shred but you will feel so much lighter. Good luck on your journey, I enjoy watching this series.

allycatangel1 The town I live in has a shred day where you can take everything you have to shred and they use an industrial shredder service and recycle it for you. Maybe your town does something similar.

I'm just a college student, but I've managed to accumulate quite a lot of stuff. After watching your videos, I feel like I've sort of been following this method all along! I pull everything out on my side of the dorm whenever my roommate isn't there and just think about how often I use it, or if I use it at all. If I don't need it at school or at home, I toss it. If I need it at home, then I put it in my "home box". It's the nicest feeling when everything in the room is just scrubbed down and clean :) (My roommate thinks I'm crazy)

Yeah for book and paper purge videos! Purging is a whole lot easier when you know where it is headed to. I'm looking for a new place to live and packing up where I live now. It is terribly tough to keep from saying "I might need that in the new house". Really the more detail on how to get to digitial the better. It is something I am interested in but it is not high enough on the list to explore whether I would like. Seeing someone else's system would help me make a decision.

Wow Jen you did an amazing job of purging your make-up and toiletries collection. I have already purged my make-up collection, it was nowhere near the amount you had but still I managed to pare it down considerably. I have also purged my book collection the Kon Mari style and those two catergories are the most difficult for me so far. Loved this video.

My daughter caught the decluttering bug and was able to donate 4 large garbage bags of clothes, 1 large bag of shoes and a grocery bag full of cosmetics & toiletries!! I'm in the process of doing the same and it feels fantastic!

While I don't have nearly as much makeup as you do, I also did a purge recently. It feels good to get rid of the makeup that I didn't love (either too cheap or impulse buys). I also donated mine. My friend teaches makeup at a life-skills school for special needs adults. They were willing to take (lightly) used makeup. (Also- loved watching this video for organizing ideas!!)

Awesome Jen!!!!. I also did a makeup up purge, I only have very little to begin with ....1 drawer and 1 container for lip products but it was getting a little crowded with things I didn't like or use. Can't wait to see you home office. I am currently finishing my basement...it just feels so goood :-)
