I really enjoyed watching the trailer! It looked like a perfect way to bring the older cartoon versions of the Princess fairy tales we enjoyed as kids to the new generations. And, as much as it surprises me, many kids under the age of 10 haven't seen the movies. They fall in love with the princess visuals all around them and the stories told to them at bedtime, but usually they haven't seen the films. So this would be the perfect opportunity for parents to introduce their kids to the Disney princess fairy tales in movie form. I find it amusing that Jaby thinks that Alia Bhatt is older than Emma Watson. Emma is actualy 3 years older than Alia. I think he may be picturing Emma as younger though because everyone still remembers her as Hermione Granger, who was a lot younger. Also, Belle is only supposed to be 17, just a very mature seventeen. I'm assuming she appears older, or as Jaby puts it, more womanly, because Disney is obsessed with ridiculously skinny waists and unrealistic proportions. I can't wait to watch the full film in theatres!!

I agree there's something off about emma playing belle. I think is her accent and the fact she played Hermione in harry potter franchise. beside that she definitely have the beauty and some characteristics. belle age in the animated film is 17 so it fits her role and image. Alicia vikander as belle would had also been a great choice but, I always picture emma playing her. I'm pretty sure emma watson would do great as belle. there's a reason she got casted.

Callum Cowan true but belle is actually from French so is emma watson. I thought she was going to use her French accent for this film. Also like I said she has been in the potter franchise. I see some Hermione on belle. It's not good for her role.

Don't get me wrong, I agree beauty and the beast is a french fairytale, and personally I feel that it should have the accents to match. Unfortunately disney and hollywood don't like being authentic. Emma Watson is French? That's news to me, I think I heard about her being born there, but that's about it. My cousin was born in Germany but she's still English.
