got a feeling she sent the tape and player to herself. it was supposed to be sent back to her after 10 years like a time capsule, but the moon blew up, things changed, so the mail ended up looping around the solar system trying to reach her location.

The reason they said earlier in the episode that the tape had been mailed to most of the solar system was because Fae mailed it to herself and it's been in the mail system circulating trying to find her for decades.
