Friendly tip..I learned this making candy, the higher temp the liquid is the less water in it, so if u want thicker consistency go a little higher temp. Hope this helps

Thanks for letting me know! I haven't tried anymore after the one time, but was happy enough that I made the grape jelly and elderberry jelly successfully. I guess beautyberry is a hit or miss. Use the syrup to sweeten tea🍵

Hey! Great video. I’ve been researching how to make the beauty berry tincture. It is supposed to be stronger than Deet, and repel ticks too. Leaves in a jar, fill with witch hazel let sit at least two weeks. Give it a shake here and there, just make sure the leaves are completely covered by the alcohol. Tincture will be green and you will be too. Some people don’t mind.. They way I’m going to try is distilling. Good side pot with lid, no steam hole in lid, empty bowl in the center, put leaves in pot around the bowl, add two cups water, get it to a good simmer, back of heat jut want to keep it at a simmer. Steam till water is nearly gone. What left in the bowl is the tincture, clear. You can add whatever you want to it. Aloe, lavender, whatever you want. Good luck!
