I don’t think she is Chinese. In one of her videos, it said she was trying to learn Chinese. I live in Sydney too, and most of the East Asian teenagers here don’t actually speak Chinese to their family members and coworkers, so it could be a possibility. She was also born in Sydney, so it’s possible she could be monolingual. Funny thing was I went to this strange Chinese restaurant 5 months ago, and there were these 2 teenage girls sitting there. They spoke English to each other, but they were fluent in Chinese cause the staff spoke Chinese to them. However, one little girl dropped by to order takeout and the convo was in English, and the lady said to me “I was busy helping a takeaway.” It’s kind of weird to call a customer a “takeaway” when takeaway refers to just takeout food, not the customer ordering to go. It was one of those Chinese restaurants where staff default to Chinese to all East Asian customers unless they don’t speak Chinese. I had been to like 2 of these restaurants so far in Sydney.
