I am 70 hrs old and this is how my mom braided my hair as a little girl and taught me to braid as a little girl. This is old school plaits, I braid my hair this way when I have crochet braids. Good to see you braid this way, bring back memories.

THANK YOU! I always struggled with latch hooking the hair around the cornrow. It looked unsightly because the knot was too big, then the hair would slip. I knew something was wrong. lol Thanks for showing us the right way. :)

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! What state are you in? I met this stylist who said she was an expert in crochet braids. I found out the hard way that all the pictures of her work that she had show me, were from magazines she setbup to make it look like real pictures. I had so many crochet "knots" in my hair, that the straight hair would not fall right and parted with each part she made in my head. She didn't even braid my hair right. It was terrible and inside of 4 days I had taken it down and decide it just to wear my natural hair until I can find someone who can do this right.
