Lol I used to go to one place that waxed and I was like Joey Tribbiani from Friends; "It's like a baby caterpillar chasing its momma" One was drastically thinner than the other. I can take having a tattoo done on my spine for hours straight, I've taken torn ACLs and horses breaking my toes stepping on my foot and kept walking and working, but my hairs are so incredibly thick and deep rooted that threading and waxing of any kind is pure hell on Earth for me. I'd rather the pain of another broken baby toe lol

I got my eyebrows threaded yesterday for the first time. Despite what I have heard, it wasn't painful at all. Apparently, if the technician knows what they are doing then it should be less uncomfortable to endure than waxing. It also looks better in my opinion, since their movements are more purposeful, as opposed to just ripping a bunch of hair out all at once. I don't see myself going back to waxing any time soon.

I got my eyebrows threaded the other day for the first time ever and it hurt so bad underneath! It didn’t really hurt on the top or in the middle but the bottom made me tear up. It was only about a minute in each side and other than the pain, it was great! Plus they put this gel on when they finished which soothes it a lot. They were pretty red and swollen for the night but looked great the next morning. Would definitely recommend unless you have sensitive skin around your eyebrows.

Shane Grey I think it depends on the body part you get tattooed. I'm used to getting my brows done but I remember it wasn't too bad when I did it the first time. I have a tattoo on my shoulder blade and it wasn't super painful but since it took way longer than getting your brows done a tattoo does definitely hurt more I guess. (:

I just had my first experience and I think I will never do it again. I thread my eyebrows at home and it honestly doesn't really hurt. pain rating from 1 to 10 is like a 1 or a 2 out of ten.

I have a high pain tolerance that’s maybe why I got this done for the first time today and it didn’t hurt. It definitely felt different then waxing, I’m visiting a different country. I went in for a eyebrow wax and she pulled out the thread, I gasped . I said no eyebrow wax ? She said no they use thread. Then the tweezers after, but she did it very quick and my eyebrows look amazing. I think it depends on the person doing it to how painful it is.

The end result does look good.............but I always heard that you should not pluck the top line off the brows as it destroys the natural shape/arch and this will never grow the same again......?

You're not supposed to remove hair above the brow area because thats where the natural shape is..the eyebrow hairline and brow bone are suppose to be symmetric. Eyebrow shape is created underneath the brows and between the eyes only, never above. It's a softer, more natural look and not as harsh as waxing or removing hair all around the eyes, especially those who have very thick dark brows. Regrowth can be an issue too..the more hair that is removed, the more regrowth maintenance you will have.

got mine threaded today for the first time. hurts like a bitch and I a single tear drop fell from both of my eyes because of how stinging and painful (like obv it's hair pulled out from your skin) but the end results was so satisfying like it's totally worth the pain!! my eyebrows are on fleek!! 💞

I've tried a long tim ago. It actually doesn't hurt that bad to me. Or maybe i just have a high pain tolerance. Idk 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

I have done this a couple of times (5) or smt and at the start it used to hurt so much but now my eyes don't even water. It doesn't hurt if you do it a couple of times.

i want to get mine done next week but after read a comment about it will hurt when they start doing it on the eyelids, pretty sure i'll cry and accidentally sneeze at the worker 😂 Edit : Got mine done ! It was successful, I did cry but it’s a relief I don’t sneeze at the worker while she’s threading on the eyelids 🤣
