This is brilliant! I've seen other videos about making lipsticks using crayons but I really like this version. The finished products all seem buttery and pigmented at the same time. And I love the names you gave them. Also they all look super pretty on your lips. Love love love this!

I did this with coconut oil (it's solid in room temperature like shea butter) and a few drops of almond oil and I simply LOVE the result. A smooth moisturizing lip butter with a nice tint to it!

Tehya Martines Vaseline is not going to be moisturizing and it also is a pretrochemical so, not that safe.

This is so incredible! I substituted the Shea butter and flavoring by using a body butter scented strawberry! It worked pretty well and smells so good!

For a faster cleaner version, you might try bringing out a little of the foil at the corner of the spoon to give a narrow funnel effect before the melting process.That way, you needn't pour it into another container.

I prefer using colorings from beetroot powder, hibiscus or rose hips. For flavoring, use essential oils.

just passing through... to minimize spillage when pouring the mixture into the lipstick canister.. you might want to create a 'V' shaped spout using that aluminum wrap around the soup scoop (ladle).. you also have to wrap the bottom part of the ladle for easy cleaning..

Try cocoa butter, but use less butter and more oil...because cocoa butter is harder than shea butter.

Hi, I'm not sure about the tablets, but you can buy shea butter at amazon or ebay (I'm sure other sites have it too). If you don't want a lot of it, ebay might be better.

love this vid...i am trying to make some lipsticks/balms...but problem..cannot find a certain mold....MONO lipstick mold...asian i think..heard of it? would love to buy it. but just curious...i will not be using crayons here....just old lipsticks and probably a few of the ingredients you listed. have you ever used slanted lipstick containers...like say the ones from wet n wild or others? other prob i have is if i use one of those...if i just pour will i get the flat shape...or is there a way to make it slanted? i use flat balms usually but sticks..well...either way works..but want to make a few semi fancy ones just CUZ. great vid...the orangey one looks nice with your complexion. cool accent. :) thanks
