For the cricuit, makes sure to heat both sides of the fabric you iron onto. Also, make sure to use a iron on vinyl that’s says STRETCH specifically so when they put them on a move around it won’t peel or crack. With iron on vinyls you’re also supposed to wash the shirts inside out, on cold, with NO fabric softener. Hop this helps! :)

A few tips on covering the cake with the fondant. Using cardboard rounds under the cake instead of parchment paper will make it much easier to transfer cake to your platter. Keep your cake on the counter when covering with fondant so that the fondant isn’t stretching so much which will cause rips. Once it’s covered and you’ve cut off extra you can place on your platter!

I usually use the heat press and then peel the clear backing off. Then put a piece of wax paper and use the heat press one more time to seal it. Hope this helps!

For shirts, I really like the Cricut SportFlex vinyl. It has a good stretch. Also, like others said, it helps to put a good amount of pressure on the heat press to make sure it sticks. Party looks amazing and I love all the little details!!❤

The party decor looked fabulous! For the vinyl make sure you are using a pressing pillow inside of the shirts. This allows the vinyl to press evenly. Otherwise the stitching on the collar is raised which stops the vinyl from adhering properly

For the shirts, use a little pressure when pressing. After you remove the clear carrier sheet, use parchment paper or Ibuse a Teflon sheet and press again with light to medium pressure. You can tell you have good adhesion when you can see the pattern of the fabric through the vinyl (glitter vinyl is a little harder to see) also, Cricut has a guide online for different materials and vinyl types for temp and time that is helpful. Good luck on future projects.

I like to make a buttercream icing for my cakes. I just use the Wilton recipe that includes butter, shortening, and powdered sugar as the main ingredients. Sometimes it does get soft as I'm decorating, and I just pop it in the fridge for a bit. Great job on the cake! It came out awesome!

Preheat the shirt with the heat press to evaporate excess moisture in the shirt before ironing on the vinyl. Also when you’re done with the front side flip it over and heat the back of the shirt before peeling off the top sheet. Also, there are some cool peel vinyl (let it cool before you peel off the top) so check with the brand of vinyl you use.

You would be better of using ganache in instead of frosting. The other thing, Sam's Club sells their frosting in bulk and it's stable and tastes really good. Also, you need the upside down frosting method in order to avoid fondant disaster. Look it up....it's solid proof and really stress free.

Your fondant skills are amazing his cake turned out so cute. So agree on store bought icing 🤢. As for cakes on 🔥 bake a little cupcake and put the number candle on it. I love how you make their day so special, for sure memory makings.when your covering your cake with fondant after you get the top and the side started don’t let it much hang below your stand. There is so much weight it pulls on it and stretches and cracks.
