The way beavers build dams is to hold weight of water back. If you can get upstream and pull that way it comes apart easer. I had to deal with 7 dams every other day. So much work.

Love watching your videos. Such an escape from my town bound life. Was wondering, in one of your videos you experimented with fitting a plastic pipe to a dam to help drain it. Did it work. I have wondered if the beavers would just think it is a leak and block it anyway. Perhaps fitting a plug to it would make the beavers not bother blocking it and you can unplug it when you need to drain it. Or even fit a pressure valve to it so the beavers can have enough water to satisfy them without risking damage to the surrounding land. That's for sharing your videos. Can't wait till the next one.

Really developing the collapse strategy. It seems to make work easier by washing away a lot of the base mud. Work smart not hard (actually not as hard because it looks like a good workout) . Great picture of the Elfa today.

Kenislovas. Good morning. I watch your videos almost everyday. Just an opinion when you are cleaning the creeks. Why do you only open a tear in the middle of them while you could clean the ends from side to side ???. I don't want to get involved in your work, but if you left it clean from side to side, it would take you a while to go back to the same place to clean it again. Agree or not ???. Hey Papa. (28c / Smog from Forest Fires in the North) We had some rain this week, which was nice. There was a lot of "Green Material" in the dam, those beavers must have just put up that dam recently, if the foliage was still green when you brought the dam down today. Hope mama and the little princess are well.
